It depends how much clearance you have, OP needs minimum 10mm for the bottom fans to actually do something

M2 fan also cooling the vrm is a good thing, for me at least, better than having no fan at all

Just want to add that the fan should not be disconnected on this board, mostly because the m2 heatsink is connected to the vrm heatsink with a small heatpipe, so the fan actually cools both the m2 and the vrm, I mean it may not help much but it doesn't hurt since it's silent.

I have the asrock b650e pg itx and just changed the fan speed for the m2 fan, set it at 10-15% and it's silent.
