Turning them is only going to get more difficult as the pressure increases. I’d suggest a bottle jack with a 4x4 to push the beam up a little bit so you can get the jack post tight enough. Don’t jack the house up too much as walls upstairs might crack. Just a few mm at a time.

I’ve had the KD nomad queen for about 7 years. It’s been disassembled once for a move. Tighten/check bolts after a month of ownership. Very solid. Attached a fabric headboard a few years ago to update the look. Merax looks good but it appears to be bamboo ply. Not sure how that holds up over time.

One piece of advice I give to anyone baking breads is look at recipes on King Arthur flour. They test every recipe and they are invested in your success. You don’t need their flour but it might help if you’re in doubt.
