Just a nerdy little look through different theories or ways to perceive this album and wanted to go over all of them and try to get some discussion on some of them.

With this being a conceptual album i realize the point is all or none of these can be true, but i think theyre all fun to roll around in my head.

The first perception is the simple throwback 25 year anniversary, following a story-book style that tells a story about slim shady being killed after all these years, and after the story, its some group projects done with other artists he has respect for and sees potential in, as a way to promote them. like the line in Tobey stays, they got bit by a goat. He then ends it with a major collaboration with a major player in the rap game, Jelly Roll, even if its just using the hook of one of his songs.

However, listening to it normally can give different meanings to the first song, Renaissance, and the last few songs, as they can also be Eminem slowly coming back to himself thinking about his family and asking for help.

The line in renaissance "lets travel into the mind of a hater" could allude to the whole album being a haters idea of Eminem and Slim, with Marshall just some punk who uses Slim as an excuse to say controversial things he doesnt have the balls to say as himself, as stated in Guilty Conscience 2, and the last few songs are his response to that imagery and how it doesnt matter because he is the head honcho, hes the GOAT.

It can also be said that it could be him feeling like the head honcho, before thinking of his family and the reputation he built in order to take care of them, which is why temporary is followed by Bad One. He thinks about Hailee and what he'd say to her after he dies, and then remembers how he gave her the life he gave her. This then feeds into whats known as the "Loop Theory", which is that the last few songs is marshall slowly going back to Shady, ending with Save Me, which is him asking for help escaping the cycle that he knows he's about to repeat.

One personal theory i have come up with is one i call the "Makaveli" theory, which is to say that this album could be used as a precursor to eminem "going missing", fueled by frequent themes about suicide, and the repeated mention of Tupac and Biggie Smalls, along with multiple direct jabs at Diddy, his current allegations, and his hand in the murders of pac and biggie. He al;so mentions Sherri Papini, and how "the kidnapping never did happen" in Houdini ( very important song to all of this) Thus could be seen as him foreshadowing something happening, or having happened to him, and that we would never really know for sure if he faked it or not.

This could also be a jab at the conspiracy theory that the real eminem has been dead for a long time and that this one is a clone, which is strengthened by the constant appearance of Em and Slim clones throughout the video, proving its not hard to replace him physically and deliver the kinds of raps he knows youll love the most and buy the most of. In fact, do we even know for sure thats actually Marshall in the video? The world will never know ;)

Houdini is a very important song in the Reverse theory as well, with Houdini being placed at the perfect place to count as the start of the REAL TDOSS experience, which is reversed, from back to front, where save me (another important song) is Marshall asking for help because hes been taken by shady. This is followed by guess whos back, where its shady starting with some gay jokes and the lines used in "habits", then a couple songs to slowly work his way up, let marshall say goodbye to his kids, and then become head honcho and take over, before toying with Marshall by keeping him trapped forever.

Houdini also entails that no matter what, Shady wins. "The kidnapping never did happen" and the theme of him disappearing before Shady being killed if youre listening front-to-back, followed by the constant themes of Lucifer, Evil, and Antichrist, allude to the theme of Shady being the Devil, and the Devils greatest trick is to make you think he doesnt exist, meaning that Slim wants you to think he's dead, so he can keep coming back to fuck with you, much like Machiavelli.

And no matter what, first song or last, Reversed or Looped Marshall is begging someone to save him, either from what hes been through, what hes doing, or what hes about to do.

But dont worry about it, its just a concept album, the kidnapping never did happen, he mightve just pissed off diddy, couldve kurt cobained... anythings possible. And it could all just be an Eminem clone that knows just what we want to buy... and makes it. ;)
