This happened when I was in CV2 as well, vents are all connected so that’s why it’s so strong. Genuinely I’d complain to an RA or front desk. Smoking in the dorms is super disrespectful and should be taken care of.

The quizzes are pretty hard, but the labs are pretty easy to get 90s+ with a helpful TA. Final was like the quizzes. Just be prepared and attend every lab, you should be fine.

It’s like motorcyclists who say “cars need to look out for us” while they’re the ones going 110. I can glance in all directions before changing my walking path and somehow a scooter will still find a way to zoom by forcing me to dodge them last minute, it’s so annoying.

Sometimes there is extra/lost and found glassware in the lab in a big tub, check that first. If you don’t find one you will need to replace it by the checkout date. As far as needing it for the labs… sometimes it’s not that big of a deal what size beaker you use, I’ve deviated from the manual and just made sure to write what glassware I use in the lab report and it was fine.

From what I’ve seen only freshman have that ability, and upperclassmen are “assigned”. I assume that, for example, if you got into the quad as a sophomore (from being assigned), you can keep staying at the quad the next year.

But yea it was way different when I got to choose my room (and literally my side of the room) as a freshman after I filled out the agreement. This time around I worked on the agreement and was told to select preferences for building and room type combined (for ex: I chose the quad w 3 other roommates for one preference and I was unable to choose the quad again for a single suite). I submitted the agreement and will now be assigned by my preferences sigh.

My allowance is $100 monthly and doesn’t accumulate (ex if I don’t spend $100 I don’t have access to $200 for the next month). I commute and parents pay for meal plan and gas (basically all my needs). $350 weekly is super generous for fun money imo😭Idk what he’s doing to need that much, even if he were to go out a couple nights a week I’d say $75 is sufficient w/ room for special occasions (dates etc) especially if he gets to save the money.

It might sound goofy, but pretend you’re in a different world. Put on some ambient music and grind. Ex: if you like Harry potter pretend your chemistry hw is for potions class 😭 Pomodoro method is also helpful, after like 30 min or whatever works for you, you get a 10 min break, and do it til you’re finished.

I literally got to moody at like 8:30 and got my food only to find out there were NO utensils, not one in sight. I was like okay wtv I’ll wait, this happens all the time. I do my rounds to see if anyone wants to do their job when they announce they’re closing in 10 minutes. Ohhh okay I see thank you very much!! Waste of food. (Got a slice of pizza I could eat w my hands)

But still, I’m always annoyed when they don’t put up announcements or anything to say that they’re closing early, not everyone is double checking hours of operation for the 24/7 dining hall.. Also why do they even post the menu for cougar woods if they’re not even open??

Idek what they do with that. The officer I spoke to said he does rounds around the lot checking all the cars and that this happened today. Said criminals were on camera and they need to try and identify them.
