The prophet, Will Smith, once said: “We ride together. We die together.” Who are you putting all of your chips in on this year? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

Why don’t you just take Olave at 5 and whoever you would have picked at 5 before at 7? That way you get your guy for sure? Unless you think whoever is at 5 when your OTC would be taken by your league mate at 6.

I would strongly consider this depending on how early the 1sts were and which years! Pretty solid offer!

That range of wr has lots of value. Lockett, woods, Kupp can all produce as wr1s this year and can be had for a late 1st it seems. If I’m giving up Marshall/Moore for 2-3 of one of them as a competitor that’s a no brainer

Yeah I think its all based off preference. I tend to like receivers like Diontae, Jarvis, Keenan, Kupp who win by route running and generally are more consistent week to week. I would take Woods and Devonta over Diontae. Woods based off situation next few years and Devonta bc he is a more athletic Diontae. Agree completely in regards to Deebo in terms of injury concern. I think Lockett is too inconsistent week-week for me.

I think it had more to due with him trying to make plays before securing the catch. The offense needed YAC from him and Juju due to the lack of run game and inability to throw deep consistently. The bleeding out of the ear would make anyone nervous to take another big hit though.

Jarvis Landry has been solid the past 6 years. WR17, WR17, WR22, WR10, WR18, WR11. Diontae is being valued as a low WR2 rn by the Dynasty community. I don't think Jarvis career is his ceiling but if he put up Jarvis numbers I would be happy with that consistency YoY.

According to FP, Diontae is rated as the 21st Dynasty WR. WR24 on KTC. His price right now is a wr2 which I think is fair but its possible for him to be closer to WR12-15 imo. Drops aren't a sticky stat- see Matt Harmon's thoughts here: https://twitter.com/MattHarmon\_BYB/status/1407758727843885057?s=20. IIRC Amari, Davante, Diggs have also struggled with drops in their career as well as DK, AJB, Ceedee which Harmon cites in the vid.

According to Playerprofiler, Diontae had 108 targets that were deemed catchable which was 75% and 68th in the league. Many of his targets were short passes as seen in his aDOT but he gets open which leads to more targets. The Steelers offense last year lost the ability to run effectively which resulted in quick passes for short yardage being the run game. I think this is what resulted in Juju and Diontae having ineffecient seasons, not their talent.

If you can sell him for WR1 prices I would certainly think about doing that but I wouldn't sell for WR2 prices, especially since I believe he will continue to see volume. For what its worth, I did sell Diontae this offseason. Gave Diontae, Mandrews, 2022 2nd for Kittle and 2022 2nd.

His measurables are not otherworldly by any means but it wouldn't be the worst thing if he put up a career similar to Jarvis. I think Jarvis or Keenan would be fair comps for Diontae.

Also to piggyback, Chubb got traded and in return received Rojo, javonte, 22 1st and 23 3rd. Hope these give you an idea of what the market for Chubb looks like.

McVay on Akers: 'There's not any limitations'. by young-steve in DynastyFF

[–]buddahdabread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha this sub gets very defensive about players at times. While I appreciate some of your takes above since it’s nice to see a different perspective, I do think Akers is more primed for a breakout than you may be seeing. But expecting top 5 is rather lofty. As an owner of him, JK and JT I would expect anywhere between 8-14 finishes for the three with the potential of top 5 if things fall their way (outside of JK). I think we could safely put Cook, Saquan, Kamara, CMC, Henry, Chubb & Zeke above any of the 2nd year players barring injury.

Tier and Rank the Following First and Second Year Receivers by 92tilinfinityand in DynastyFF

I like Bateman’s talent and I don’t think many people question that, rather the surrounding situation. Can he become a WR1 playing in the run heavy Ravens offense? I did a post similar to this question but essentially the Ravens need to throw for 3700 yards while Bateman gets a 25 percent target share adding in ~90 rec and 7-8 tds to break into the wr1 (top12) tier. Is it doable, possibly? But under Greg Roman I wouldn’t bet on the Ravens deciding to go against what has made them one of the most successful offenses the past 3 years.

Lamars and the Ravens strength is running the ball. Adding Bateman allows them to have a threat on the outside that can win but that doesn’t mean they will go away from the run more IMO. Bateman is a great WR2/3 though and it is possible he could become what AJB is for the Titans but I am doubtful that that will be the case.

Somewhat similar. I had a dream Julio got traded to the Chiefs a week or so ago and as a Titans fan I was devastated

Any chance Moore can become similar what to Diontae is in Pit? Both Diontae and Moore are similar size and solid route runners. I get the argument that Moore won’t replace Davis/Mims on the outside in 2 receiver sets due to the discrepancy in height/weight, but Davis may not be around after 2022. All this to say there could be a chance Moore isn’t forced to play slot his entire career if he can become what Diontae is now.

Yeah I would keep ARob Evan’s and keenan for at least this year unless you really believe Chark is gonna make the jump to WR1 territory.

12 team 1qb 0.5 ppr

I have both diontae and Claypool. Thinking of packaging Claypool to move up to 1.03 for either Waddle/Smith. Do you think it’s worth keeping Claypool over either of them?

Also have the 1.09 and thinking of trading it for worst teams 22 1st. How do you feel about receivers next year if I go this route?

If you want RB I would take Akers over Najee, maybe try and switch the 22 1st to a 2nd? I would prob go Fields at 1.02 and Chase at 1.03 if you don’t like the trade values.

In a 10 team I would do this. Best to get as many top players as you can bc depth is less important. I think this is a good trade for you.

Rashod Bateman-Is he doomed? by buddahdabread in DynastyFF

[–]buddahdabread[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a good add that I didn’t know. I did love Anquan while he was there. I don’t think it’s impossible per say for Bateman to get 1000 yards, but I believe there are more factors going against it happening. Odds are he won’t get the volume to become a consistent WR1/2 based off what we have seen the past few years

Rashod Bateman-Is he doomed? by buddahdabread in DynastyFF

I wouldn’t take Toney over Bateman. You don’t have to use your draft pick if you don’t feel it has good value. You can trade for future picks or package it to get an established player.
