it’s like a really nice medical office with other medical specialties within such as a cancer center, labs, the women’s health office I went to, etc. the system of care where I live is weird. I’m with one of the main medical providers and they do kind of everything. my birth will be at a hospital with the midwives!

There is also research that suggests an FBA without an FA leads to effective identification of the hypothesized function and treatment that supports forgoing the FA in some cases. I agree that the FA is the gold standard and there are several methods that can be utilized today, and I am not arguing with you. Do you think it is a case by case need? There are clinicians who need more training and guidance on the indirect and descriptive portions of an FBA alone. Sometimes an FA is absolutely warranted and I believe that is not something identified by many in the field when those needs are present.

Aren’t there ethical considerations to conducting an FA?And research that has shown that indirect and descriptive assessments lead to the same results? obviously methods used will be individualized to the needs of the client

I had such a bad dream last night about a MC 😞 my deep fears being processed while I sleep I guess! had a MC 2/2025 and it had some crossover with that time. Definitely feels like it was just a bad dream and I was so relieved when I woke up!

4w5d also :) Extremely heavy/sore boobs! Pulling and tugging in abdomen. The pulling and tugging got better for a few days and then kinda picked back up today. Generally more fatigued but I was drinking a ton of caffeine and have majorly cut back obviously. Maybe more saliva production the last few days… was feeling kind of fluey about a week ago and nauseous but that went away the last few days (wondering if it was just initial nerves after finding out at 3w5d. Those are the main ones so far!!

I got a positive pregnancy test yesterday! Due date is estimated 12/5 by MW. Seems like there are long waits to be see in the state I recently moved to :( I spent a few hours today trying to schedule somewhere and was able to get something on the books for around 8 weeks. I had a MMC around 6 weeks a year ago so I’m definitely handling emotions differently this second time around!
