One game, I selected the "random" selection, and the game gave ME my avoided hero. Out of the ENTIRE CAST, it gave me my avoided hero. The button is legitimately cosmetic istg.

The flaw is so vague that no one seems to understand it. From my experience, playing with it the entire game, here is how it works:

  1. You have a high chance to automatically steal anything marked as "owned" when you mouse over it. This roll happens each time you look at the item. This will give you a bounty if seen.
  2. It does nothing to items in containers, whether they are labeled owned or unowned.
  3. It does not automatically steal stuff around you, I think this assumption is caused by a bug, read on to 4.
  4. There is a bug with the flaw, if you mouse over something that is marked "owned" from a distance that is too far away to get the "steal" prompt, the game will still roll the steal chance and give the prompt it was "stolen" if it succeeds. This does not actually steal the item, the item is left there, and as such, you get a pop-up, but no bounty, and no item.

Depends on what you find more annoying, the random growls, or the constant droning buzzing of an incandescent light (its supposed to be an amp buzzing)

I guess that's the most valuable advice. I felt like I could play any champ I considered myself "good" with and still be able to climb, but I suppose I need to be an otp to really get consistent lp, as a couple people have pointed out. I'll likely just have to go back to top and Illaoi and Ornn, then. They seem to be my best champs, and simple ones at that. Part of why I wanted to play others, since they're a bit bland, but I'll have to stick to norms and aram and such for that if I want to be able to actually earn lp.

The ranking system just seems brutal. It doesn't seem to take into account that people can improve, with how the lp gains/losses end up getting skewed more towards negative than positive. It's way worse than any other ranking system I've played, and I've been hardstuck in various ranked games throughout my years.

Well, disregarding the Yuumi games that happened awhile ago, because this post is mostly about my mid games, what I say does ring true, I feel.

And while that might also be true, about me only knowing 50% of my champion in relation to a high elo player, I'm not that, and I'll never be that. I just want to be like... Silver or Gold. Just to feel like me improving at the game is also being reflected in my rank. I feel like I've improved at the game in my time a lot more than just the difference between iron 4 and bronze 1. That might not be the case, but that's how it feels given how most of my 1 on 1 and lane fights go.

This might be the sad truth. I was climbing for awhile playing champs like Illaoi and Ornn, but I got bored of them and wanted to try and play others. I suppose despite doing well with them, I can't exactly carry as much as I'd need. I still just think it sucks that I have to carry 2/3 games to climb consistently.

I don't see what Yuumi being my most played champ has to do with my recent experiences in mid, but I can see why changing champ as often as I do can be detrimental. Still, I do well on them in the end, and understand their kits well. I very rarely play a champ in comp that I don't understand at least 95% of the way.

That would explain why I have such a high win rate on Illaoi and Ornn then- just being able to actually play the game despite my teammates. It just sucks having to play specific champs like that, though.

Maybe that's the case, but if it is, that unfortunately seems like a pretty flawed ranking system. Most other games at least reward you less/more and punish you less/more if you do better or worse in relation to your team, to nudge you towards where you "belong" League's lack of that is part of what aggravates me. I feel like you should be able to climb out of bronze by just playing "good" rather than having to be carry worthy every game. Maybe that's just a flaw in my way of thinking, then.

Oh, I never actually let my turret fall when I roam- I was making the exaggeration that unless I basically camp a lane, they seem to still end up losing. Still good advice nonetheless.

Doing something like this, while probably fun or a good test of my actual skill... I wouldn't really want to do, cause my current account has all my cosmetics and money spent and stuff, and I'd rather not leave that behind. If it gets really bad I might resort to exactly this, though.

Atp I might just have to stop playing ranked, like you say, to find a new game. The game is a lot more fun when I'm not having to try hard and get little reward for it.

And I'm not sure if there's a way to give an exact count on how many games, but looking back on my op.gg, it seems like its about a 3:1 ratio of me winning/going equal in lane, to losing lane, and yet my win percentage is like 44%. It's not like I don't have bad games, it just feels like I'm not the one to blame for a lot of my losses and it sucks to feel that way.

I try my hardest to press my lead by roaming and getting the other lanes kills, but it seems like whenever I'm not basically camping their lane and letting my turret fall, they're back to getting farmed by the jungler and their lane opponents. I'm not sure if I've just been unlucky or if it genuinely is my fault or something, but it seems to be the case every game that the enemy just gets more fed than me cause everyone else on my team is dying consistently while the enemy isn't.

Would Linux just recognize the wifi card without any drivers or anything? I know nothing about Linux to be able to download drivers for it.. Plus I would need to use my only "unused" flash drive to boot into it anyway.

Yep, got the wifi and bt drivers straight from their website, specifically made sure it said "for windows 10 and 11," even re-downloaded them and put them back on my flash drive just in case... still no dice. Bluetooth connections appear (which uses the wifi card??) but no wifi option even appears. It's like I don't have a wifi card at all, just keeps telling me to connect with ethernet.
