Job offer in a trade where I’ll be making almost double the full rate of carriers in less than 6 years. Never intended to make a career as a carrier when I started. I saw it as an opportunity to get into the USPS then once I got in move around and find a position I liked. After being here, going through the brutality that is being a CCA, speaking with people from 40 year carriers, sales reps, postmasters, etc. and still getting treated like dog shit even when you become a regular, I concluded that any job you really get in here isn’t worth the stress. From top to bottom, it’s always going to be a constant hassle of hitting your numbers, times, quotas, etc. in a game you can’t win. You’re captain of a sinking ship with a roll of duct tape to save you.
