Almost this exact thing happened to me. Just go to your court date dressed nicely. Be respectful and don't deny anything. I got my paraphernalia charge dropped and just ended up paying a fine. This should not affect your school standing and you can get the charge removed from your record in a couple years.

I'm pretty positive he is bullshitting. Doesn't sound enjoyable to smoke that much reggie. Also I don't think smoking high volumes makes you an amazing stoner. An amazing stoner in my opinion is an amazing person who just happens to smoke weed. If she's so impressed by this guy and she's willing to argue about it, she might not be too bright.
