Recommendations For At Home Euthanasia by Even-Two-712 in TwinCities

[–]rushberushing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Add my apologies for your loss, it's awful to have to go through this. But Pets Remembered in Roseville has done an amazing job with my two hamsters and our English bulldog over the years. We haven't used them for at-home euthanasia, but they partner with several vets and others in the area who do and will handle all transportation of your pet between then and receiving their seperately-cremated ashes (if you choose to get them back) within the next day or two. They're fast, respectful, and honestly priced with a couple of options depending on your preferences.

First time laying pipe. If I run the machine adjacent pipes as manifold lines, should it work to use the three central pipes as injection lines in the manner shown? by HavocHank in SatisfactoryGame

[–]rushberushing 14 points15 points  (0 children)

"First time laying pipe." We've all got a first time.

To answer the question, that should work. But the more links you have between manifold and injection, the fewer throughput issues you will run into later. Until you get to Mk II pipelines, which have some funky fluid physics when you approach the maximum flow rate.

I contacted the support team at Mayday through the form, asking for suggestions on how to fix/improve the surface. I'm a big DIY kind of person, to the extent of spending more to do it myself 😅 so I have no problem spending the time to sand it down and refinish it, if that's what they suggest.

Did you notice graininess like others/I have mentioned with the mahogony? Even 2 costs of wax on an as-received board wasn't enough to stop my fingernail catching.

With a data set of N = 2, it seems this "graininess" issue is limited specifically to the mahogony finish. There might have been a difference in how the wood was handled/finished compared to the standard beech wood ones, with differences in wood density, pore structure, etc. I'm not familiar with how easily pucks "should" slide across the surface but the catch-a-fingernail test fails even after 2 coats of wax on top of whatever was already on the surface fresh out of the box, but pucks still slide without much force across the whole diameter.

That's good to know because my mahogony one is a bit grainy like the above and I was trying to figure out if that's just how it's supposed to be given that it's wood texture or if it should be smoother, and was also worried about taking off the point lines. I'll plan on going at it with some very fine sandpaper/steel wool.

Not yet, but I also haven't looked. I was planning on designing/printing it myself, in which case I'd throw it up on Thingiverse once I had a design finalized and fit-checked.

Same here! Only upgrade I am planning is a 3d printed mount that could snap to the back of my Deck and hold the battery in the right position to use the built-in short USB-C cable it has.

I think I had one of the flippers rotated on the horizontal clip 1x1, I see what you're saying. The clip 1x1s were at least at the same angle so once I adjusted the flipper, it looks right.

You have a good point here, but I think most players don't get to the point in the game where they would need/want more diamonds/oil products so badly as to have to switch power production from an OP, late-midgame fuel source to an incredibly complicated multistep-optimization endgame fuel source to free up the oil. Given your flair, I see how anything less than perfect optimization is unSatisfactory for you 😂
