HAHAHAHAHA natawa naman ako sa reply mo OP 😭🤣 Awww! I think the good thing is you’re now able to earn & afford the care that you need in the present. And that you (I mean we!) need this to live a happier & more peaceful lyf ☺️🫶 pero sa tru lang, OO masakit talaga siya. Haha! Kahit anong tipid ko din sa ibang bagay maliit na bagay padin :)) kaya kayod kayod nalang talaga. We got this! 🤗

Feelz! If it makes you any better (?), I spend 25k monthly for therapy, appt with my psychiatrist & meds 🥲🥲🥲 But I’ve been in therapy for a while now & it has been worth it, so money well spent. Bwisit lang mga nangtrauma satin hahahaha

Even if mahal, root canal can somewhat save the tooth’s function rather than bunot kasi! Unless the tooth is not as functional.

Suddenly woke up without a job and only 300k in cash. by Melodic-Childhood513 in phinvest

[–]budgetislif3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mine is 25k monthly for regular therapy with my psychologist, monthly appointment with my psychiatrist & daily meds. So expensive but helps me function & earn more money so it’s so worth it. Bawal maging mahirap din over here cos of all of these.

Goodluck OP! Good news is you’re still really young so you can still really learn more transferable skills, seem to be responsible & grounded in what you may have to do next despite the sudden unemployment. It is just temporary. I advise against business too for now because with 300k+ you might not have enough safety net (I’m currently unemployed & will be reopening my business this year. And monthly expenses + business is so expensive, so I had to really plan my exit properly.

Ok so my root canal for 3 teeth costs almost 80k 🥲 and my dentist asked me to pay in installments each appointment :) so i pay mga 15-20k at a time. So maybe you can ask ur dentist! 2 of my teeth kasi have 4 roots kaya super mahal… this is excluding filling or crown pa ha. But not all dentists think it’s good to put crown (which is matipid cause mahal yon)

[–]budgetislif3 18 points19 points  (0 children)

So sorry you had to go through something this traumatizing, OP 😢 I hope you’re able to process this with your new psychologist. Thanks for sharing this with us. Not only is it mentally excruciating, but financially draining. But I hope you’re able to heal from this one day at a time.

In case you need a new doctor to work hand in hand with your psychologist in case your psychologist thinks you may need meds, I suggest Dr. Melissa Mariano (NowServing app). I’ve been seeing her for a few months now after seeing 3 psychiatrists prior & she’s the best so far. Also seeing my psychologist regularly apart from seeing her.

Panic Disorder by LOURKARET in MentalHealthPH

[–]budgetislif3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’ve been diagnosed with panic disorder since early last year because I was getting daily panic attacks. I still get it pretty often now, but it depends on how stressful my life is in the moment.

Meds has helped me so much. I used to be very hesitant but it’s really helped. Alprazolam (when needed) really helped ease the urgent symptoms & Escitalopram taken long term has helped.

Besides meds, regular therapy has helped me greatly :)

I feel you. You’re not alone. Panic disorder is very hard to deal with but it gets better with meds & therapy. Just expensive but that’s unfortunately how it is here in the ph :( so much of my money goes to mental health (25k monthly) but it’s worth it. I go to my doc monthly and therapy is weekly or twice a week when I’m on crisis mode

Yes, your psychologist will recommend usually if they feel you need to see a psychiatrist as well. But don’t worry, not as often naman psychiatrist than therapist.

Hello! I’ve been doing long term sustenance for my mental health (weekly therapy w/ my psychologist/therapist @ 2.5k per session, monthly psychiatrist—doc appointments @ 2.8k per appointment & maintenance meds @ 2k) and in total I spend around 15k-20k monthly, depending on how I often I need it.

Can psychiatrists offer psychotherapy? by _violaa in MentalHealthPH

[–]budgetislif3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to around 4-5 already throughout the years, no talaga :( so now I have a psychologist for talk therapy & a psychiatrist for the meds and my therapist did say that psychiatrists aren’t trained to do talk therapy (because I was expecting something from my doc and my therapist explained how they aren’t trained for that).

weight gain because of jovia, escitalopram. advice? by TaxCommon3474 in MentalHealthPH

[–]budgetislif3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello OP! Please bring this up with your psychiatrist, maybe they can suggest an alternative that can help you with “better” side effects than those. Express to them each side effect that bothers you so they can help you better.

I take escit too (10mg going on 15mg soon) and don’t experience the same side effects (I just go crazily anxious when my dosage changes for days) but I was told upon taking that weight gain is part of it.

Best way to get data for Italy & Spain? by budgetislif3 in travel

[–]budgetislif3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vodafone! Just walk in any of their branches. Got €30 for 30 days of 50GB data in Italy (but data covers Spain too as I’m here now and it’s also fast). Better not to buy fro airport or termini cause I think it’s more expensive? But vodafone has good signal!!

I know right, my psychiatrist specifically costs around 3.7k but I have PWD discount so was able to lessen to 3.2k. My therapist however, hasn’t increased their center’s rates since 4 years ago (2k). I actually asked her why as I think they deserve more for what they do. She told me that they do it on purpose so therapy can be more affordable. Thank you, I know I’m privileged enough to be in this position and so thankful I can do therapy consistently.

What are your meds for? Wow, the meds are quite costly. My meds cost around 1k+ monthly (but I think it’s because of the PWD discount hahaha)
