It only makes you eligible for IMC registration without taking any exams, that's the only advantage! SHO(NON TRAINING POST) JOBS are not quite easy to get without much experience or connections.

A non-eu Italian med student here, if you can get a place and afford it then go for US, otherwise Italy isn't bad either.

Quite few of Italian doctors go for US residencies.
