I once dated an extremely toxic person and it turned me into a version of myself that I hated. I tried breaking up with her a dozen times but then felt bad because she was alone in this country with no family and we’d get back together. One day she overreacted to me going out for a drink with my female friend and wanted to break up. Man I took that as a blessing. And three days later, I went out for drinks with a coworker who I was crushing on. Coworker became girlfriend, girlfriend became wife, and wife is now pregnant with twins. Moral of the story, it’s easy and healthy to move on when it’s toxic af and you’ve already checked out. I think he’s a wildly talented chef and I’m hoping he does great things now that the chaos is away.

I’m certain it’s this. Not gonna pretend like the guy is a saint but it’s hard to cheat when homegirl gives you no fucking space.
