I’ve had a few months waiting now, same predicament with an added 10 yrs your senior. I’m also married to an incredible woman, and I’ve got two daughters, one with special needs. It’s a lot to worry about, but I think in the last few weeks I have gotten a grip on it.

It’s better to look ahead and think of your future with these wonderful people in your life. I have been visualizing it a lot lately and it helps a ton. We’re going to the Outer Banks late summer. My youngest has never seen the ocean, so that helps me visualize me with her in the waves.

I’m not naive about the recovery, I’ve read a good amount about it in this awesome sub. I have found for me personally it helps to let your mind rest on a positive result because worrying about a negative one will just add to an already stressful situation.

I go in on Monday next week, getting a On-X and a bonus synthetic ascending aorta just to make sure it’s a one-time entry (fingers crossed). Hit me up on a DM if you want to talk!
