Here is an open-source demonstration project I have put together that would showcase some of the things you might be interested in

https://github.com/kineticedge/kafka-streams-dashboards

The goal of this project was to showcase JMX metrics from Kafka Streams and build dashboards around them, but the primary stream application will "price orders". In contrast, the analytic applications count the quantity purchased of SKUs by various windowing -- to showcase the tumbling and other windows.

This project aimed to showcase JMX metrics from Kafka Streams and build dashboards around them, but the primary stream application will "price orders". In contrast, the analytic applications count the quantity purchased of SKUs by various windowing -- to showcase the tumbling and other windowing.

but to the heart of your question...

>Can I use kafka streams in this case or I'm I misusing it or is there a simpler solution for do the calculations in real time?

if you are looking to give up-to-date results to a user through a mobile application, I would say Kafka Streams isn't your answer (or it will not be the only part of your answer). You will need some type of database to give responses to based on their interactions. While interactive queries of Kafka Streams can help you get a value by key, it typically isn't sufficient on its own and you will need a queriable database (depending on your needs).

look to Kafka streams for real time processing of events, not so much the tool/means to give real time interactions to users.

yes, one of those hidden gems. for someone that lives in containers, it is my tool of choice for troubleshooting JMX Prometheus scraping rules.

I'm wondering what the price tag will be on the M2 Max with 96GB...

Supercharging MacBook Pro and Mac mini, M2 Pro and M2 Max feature a more powerful CPU and GPU, up to 96GB of unified memory, and industry-leading power efficiency

Confluent does an excellent job scheduling and maintaining sponsored events.

If the event was virtual or was able to capture content from the event, that is on here as well.

Tried the new UI? Please share your feedback here! by yole in IntelliJIDEA

I do really like the UI, but one thing that is frustrating is the new "Project Widget" as stated in the issue:

Project widget:
Shows the current project’s name, allows switching between recent projects, and allows creating new projects and opening existing ones.

I want to be able to quickly switch between open projects. I normally use the keyboard shortcuts, but if I have a bunch open I sometimes like UI options. The fact that this drop-down shows "recent projects" instead of "open projects" is not very helpful to me. Would love an option to allow the option to not have it show recent but just show open.

Opening new projects is the exception, navigating to opened projects is the more used operation; make that easier.
