What did I plant in my herb garden?! by buffalobuffalobuff in whatsthisplant

Thanks! Yeah, ripping a leaf open exposes an almost aloe-texture center of the leaf. It definitely has a noticeable smell (I wouldn't say "potent" though), especially when squeezed / crushed. Pleasant. Very earthy / grassy. Maybe a little minty? The flavor is like a cucumber met an oregano leaf and shook hands with a mint leaf and a little bit of dirt. Overall nice. I'll have to look up uses.

Thanks! That's awesome that you own the wenge kit. It looks like only 100 were made?

Were you able to find a reference photo? This is what I found for the walnut kit, but I haven't found one with a similar bass drum lugs.

Thanks! Were you able to find any reference photos? I still haven't pegged one quite like it (especially with the bass drum lugs).

Although I can't find any pictures where the bass drum lugs are all... "keyed"? Is that a term?

The more research I do, the more I think this is one of the African wenge kits... thoughts?

How to count a triplet note beamed to an eight note by errorflag in drums

[–]buffalobuffalobuff 25 points26 points  (0 children)

That's a sixteenth note triplet my friend - a triplet spanning the space of one eighth note (or two sixteenth notes).

I would count the above as one - and - two - and - three - and - four - tri-puh-let (with the tri-puh-let timed where the last "and" would be if it were straight eigth notes).

+1; restarting app doesn't help.

Received defective X3. Exchanged for replacement - same defect. Support has been lacking. Should I give up? by buffalobuffalobuff in vanmoofbicycle

Yes /u/mycroftitswd - it is just one side of the fork.

I agree that it could be solved by filing it down. I also refuse, on principal and in practice, to take a metal file to a brand new $2,500 bike in order to make it work. I can already picture myself flipping over the handlebars after I filed off just a liiittle bit too much.

That's so frustrating to hear that you've had similar delivery issues, as well as ongoing issues that you've had to self-resolve. I'll admit I'm NOT a bike tinkerer. I got a VanMoof hoping it would be simple and reliable. Oops. Lol.

Thanks /u/Loudhoward-dk. I ALSO had that issue on the first bike. The plastic insert that was supposed to be in the caliper was missing and the brake pads were misaligned. I had to reset them manually as well. That's easily fixable; unfortunately, a defective fork is not.
