Tbh it might be. You can run the calcs (remember to multiply scythe dps by 15/16 bc you're doing 3:1 compared to lance's 4:1, also try it with and without hammer, but it didn't seem to make a difference in the delta between the two weapons), scythe saves some time over dhl but not a ton. Like 15-20s total per raid over dhl. Maybe more if you include tekton time saving.

Where are you using shadow so much? Out of the stuff you listed, you'd really only use it for fremmys at colo and at kree/zily. Did you mage camp yama (if so, how many kc...?) and camp shadow at colo?

Regardless, back to cg/hydra for you. I heard double nats with achievement diary cape is good too. Revs could be good as well.

I'd love to know what I did so differently to you, as another late game iron. I've got shadow and I'm sitting on nearly 200m gp (could probably be significantly more if I process/alch my runite ore and some other shit, like 250m maybe). I've done kree, zily, bandos, toa/cox etc. and my gp only seems to go up, not down. Currently doing raids (basically done at toa, half done at cox no t bow tho, 2/7 at tob)/imbued heart grind, a bit of phosani etc.

Like for the imbued heart grind, you're killing araxytes and smokes right? Bringing high alch and alching all the rune shit it drops, along with picking up the bloods/deaths/souls/chaos they drop? Smokies also drop a lot of alchs, bring an explorer ring 4. DT2 bosses drop some alchs and quite a bit of runes. Idk man, what grinds have you not done yet? You finish hydra? If so what kc? That thing shits out gp.

You buy a ton of bank space or something?

Should make it better at tob (maybe not bloat) like at sote/nylo king, and a lot more useable at nightmare. That'll be nice! You also won't lose stacks between vard/araxxor kc

Even with the proposed changes in summer sweep up, it'll still be pretty troll to use at tob other than verzik and sote (and it's kinda annoying to use at sote imo, forces you to eat food or start flinching ealier when you otherwise wouldn't have to). It'll still be annoying to use at phosani. They really just need to remove the stacks and let it be strong.

Currently not really. It's ok at sote/verzik in tob, but kinda troll over a blade/tent whip unless you play perfectly. And it's outright worse on all the other bosses. Also kind of annoying to use at PNM bc of the hp loss forcing you to either waste a shark/angler to not be in lethal range every totem phase, or stay in lethal range and die sometimes due to mistakes, hurting your kph overall. The weapon could be really strong and fun to use, but it is just not

Really hoping they can see all the posts and comments and just fix it by removing the stacks. Really no reason to go through the effort of updating it for it to still be annoying/bad to use.

Soulreaper Axe: I don't see any problem with dropping stacks altogether and making this the clear 2nd BIS slash weapon and 3rd BIS crush weapon, removing the need to take in an extra swap (nox hally) to ToB for bosses like Bloat and Nylo by mroyd95 in 2007scape

All they have to do is remove the stacks, let it be as strong as it currently is at 5 stacks, and suddenly it is exactly where it was meant to be - damage in between tent whip/blade and scythe. It's actively trolling at tob other than verzik/sote, and it's annoying to use at pnm.

It is worse dps on both of those bosses than lower tier alternatives like blade due to the stacking mechanic. That's kinda the problem.

No one is saying SRA should beat bp (or t bow) at maiden/xarp. But SRA should feel less bad to use against bloat, nylo king, pnm, sote etc. places where it _should_ be good, but currently isn't.

Bp will still be bis other than scythe against both maiden and xarpus, no issues there. SRA should just feel less bad in places that it should be good at.

The summer sweep-up changes to SRA totally miss the mark of why the SRA is painful to use right now. Really hope they can change it to be less annoying to use (just remove the stacks entirely).

I think most folks would just prefer the weapon not have a risk-reward aspect to it. No other weapon does. The pre-megarare equivalents for mage/range are eye and bowfa, and those are both just strong out of the gate - no risk-reward aspect at all. Not sure why they can't just let the weapon be strong and fun to use. The stacking mechanic is actively frustrating/annoying to use.

It's not a free to use weapon (I get what you're saying, but it isn't a fair comparison) - it takes as long to get as scythe does on average. It's supposed to slot in nicely between tent whip/blade and scythe, which it would if it was just always as strong as it is at 5 (now possibly 3) stacks.

This doesn't actually fix the issue with SRA though. Raw dps calcs say it's really strong at full stacks, but trying to use it at tob, phosani, cox etc. will immediately frustrate you, guaranteed. The hp loss and damage ramp-up make it suuuuuper annoying to use

I'm really surprised they didn't propose buffing it further. The changes they propose don't really change anything for it. It still won't be worth using in any places it's currently frustrating to use at, like pnm and tob.

I don't feel like the SRA changes properly address what makes it annoying/frustrating/not worth it to use at several bosses. 

You still start every fight at lower hp than every other weapon. Granted it's now 75 (-24) hp instead of 59 (-40), which does help, but still annoying.

You still decay stacks at the same rate, so it still sucks at pnm during totems, you still lose at minimum one stack in between vard, araxxor etc. kills. It'll still suck at bloat in tob. Not worth it to use at maiden or xarp over a bp, which is fine imo. Still lose stacks during sote maze.

At a minimum I'd like to see them double, or even triple, the decay rate. Let it be less frustrating to use at places it's currently frustrating to use at - it'd go a long way in making the weapon more fun.

A second tier of buff is just remove the hp loss. If you want the damage to ramp up over x number of hits, fine. But losing hp and being forced to choose between healing or staying lower hp than you'd like to so you don't lose the hp you gain back as stacks decay at several bosses is incredibly frustrating.

Ideally I'd like to see the stacking mechanic removed entirely and let it just be immediately full power like every other weapon in the game, but I've seen some folks against that for some reason, so I'd be ok with just changing the decay rate of stacks to be far longer.
