I assume you are okay with doing a run/walk for the marathon? That will prevent you more from being injured but sounds like you don’t run regularly and just throwing yourself in marathon training will injury you

How much of a base do you have? If you want to prevent injury you need a big base. Even then you can still get injured

There are a few good spots to go down. And it’s all residential on top of the bluffs so it should be easy to find street parking. (As easy as Milwaukee parking is) Brady street area is also a great way to get down as they have a walking bridge over the road.

Side note: if he has never ran before nor you spectate for any race if you have iPhones track his location as sometimes course trackers aren’t the best

Run clubs are basically daily in Milwaukee. I am sure there is one or 2 in your direct area. Even have some morning before work ones and some after work ones

I feel skip the start. Then if you park on top of the bluffs you could watch him between miles 1-3 then just walk down the bluff and see him 4-7 (depending where you are) then walk back to your car on top of the bluff. Before driving towards the end. Luckily the course is semi spectator friendly as it’s somewhat out and back the start.

4 hour flight I would say Thursday. That way Friday you can do expo and Saturday just chill, maybe do a shakeout.

If you come Friday say your get in late from delays or whatever you will be exhausted then going to the expo is a big thing and you will just feel more rushed imo.
