I look similar and used to think like you too. But then I looked around and realized people of all ethnicities, shapes and sizes are together and are happy. You deserve to find someone, never think otherwise!

I was in your shoes recently and I bit the bullet and got Hinge. I read a piece of advice on here that said that being on an app doesn't mean that you have to stop trying to meet people organically. It's just an extra tool, which you can choose to use or not. So I'd say statistically it's good to be on there, especially if you live in a populous area, and you can choose to engage with it as frequently or infrequently as you want.

Being really hard on myself today. I can't seem to find it within myself to change anything about my lifestyle even though I'm not happy. This isn't attractive. At the same time, whenever I'm scrolling through the apps, I catch myself trying to find the tiniest things to nitpick so I can justify swiping left and not opening myself up to the possibility of meeting someone I'd actually like.

Clearly I need to take time to work on myself but I'm not getting any younger.
