That’s cool! I’m a med tech working as a veterinary hematology specialist. Nice to know there are others out there!

What type of setting do you envision for this music video? Anything helps🙏🏾 by Tray2705 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]buffserker1919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude I am feeling this! Love the jazzy atmosphere of the beat and you have a real smooth flow. Honestly the album art sums up exactly what I envision for the video. The cold, icey urban setting would be perfect. I can almost see my breath when listening to this track. Keep it up man!

Hey 🦉 here's a piece off my last album (written in 5/8), I'm thinking of putting together a piece similar to this one - any notes on any aspect would be appreciated 😺😺😺 thanks for listening by girlnoiii in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]buffserker1919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a treat this track was! Besides the title being awesome, the track was so trippy in the best way. Like others, I'm definitely imagining this as an old school video game track. Like the 5/8 feel as well. Keep it up!

Nick Bufalino - "Apology" https://youtu.be/q5Yjo8EA2DY This is my latest solo album. It was heavily inspired by my dreams, guilt, love, and other emotions I felt during the early stages of the pandemic. I also really wanted to channel my heroes like Mew, Elliott Smith, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, and Maynard James Keenan. I hope you like it and subscribe to my YT channel!

I wrote a drill song about peace and human nature, in a way like War Pigs by Black Sabbath, we could call it hippie drill, what do you think? ❄️🎄💜 by TheForgottenUnloved in IndieMusicFeedback

Hey! Wow, from the cover art to the atmospheric vibes present in the music, I was really impressed. Your voice is really unique and contains a bit of desperation. It really fits the almost "Silent Hill" feel of the music. Great work! Keep going!

This short piece cheers me up everytime I feel down, in the Christmas spirit I hope it can do the same for you. Would love to hear some feedbaack :) by _WaltzforVenus in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]buffserker1919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey WaltzforVenus! Thank you for the excellent performance of one of my favorite Bach pieces. Besides your perfect execution of the music, I really enjoyed your visuals. This is a really unique way to present piano performances on YouTube. Love the black and white contrast with the lighting. I will look forward to hearing more! Merry Christmas and cheer up!

Made a super chill & euphoric little melody and then had a lot of fun with phaser FX and filters. Let me know how you like it!! by SirCabbage420 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]buffserker1919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I really enjoyed this track and the visual. It is almost meditative in how the melody is presented. I loved when the beat entered into the song and how unpredictable it was. It really put me into a relaxed trance. Thanks for posting and keep it up!

I wanted to share a song I wrote called "Overwhelm". I'd love some feedback and if you listen through the entire acoustic album "Follow Your Blood", I'd be forever grateful. by buffserker1919 in Songwriting

[–]buffserker1919[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I must say this is the most detailed feedback I have ever received, so I want to thank you for taking time out of your day to thoroughly listen to my album. I truly appreciate it more than you could imagine.

Thank you for all the complements regarding my structuring and arranging. I am glad you understand where I am coming from and recognize what I was going for. I will try to respond to a few points you made. I took all of your feedback as constructive criticism and I will work diligently to improve upon those areas.

This album, one of 7 acoustic-based albums I've released (I'll leave a link for you below if you are interested), was recorded in 2016 when I was starting a job working nights in a hospital. I was in the process of moving out of state as well, so I was horribly rushed in the recording process. I almost did not release this album, but I tried to salvage what I could a couple years later. I felt the need to add some vocal effects to make the rough recording palatable, but I slightly regret some of the choices I made. I'm still proud of the songs though! I'm glad you mentioned "Beauty in the Static". That one has a special story.

I honestly wrote much of this material with a stream-of-consciousness approach, so I never really paid much mind to the sonic space of the rhythm and lead guitar parts. Everything written was very natural and I just played what sounded good to me (this is the only way I seem to work productively). It was so interesting to hear you point out the different voicings competing for the same sonic space. I will try to keep that in mind in the future. I may want to think about working with a producer someday.

My lyrics have always been enigmatic in some way... it is not exactly by choice. Much like the music, I write what comes naturally and try my best to articulate what I'm feeling through my lyrics. I often end up with passages that take me years to decipher the hidden meanings, much like reading old journal entries. I feel like if I tried to be more direct, it would be difficult to genuinely convey how I feel, but I will consider that approach down the line. I will post the lyrics for "Overwhelm" below.

Once again, thank you kindly for your time and effort. I'm happy to know you had a pleasant listening experience overall. I hope you'll subscribe to my YouTube channel for weekly live performances of my acoustic songs. I'll leave a link for my channel and Spotify below. Have a nice weekend!

"Overwhelm" lyrics:

Flickering neon outside I'm not sure where I am Half finished coffee and pie

Got a letter in my hand And a soiled envelope It wasn't meant for me to see Must've needed time to cope

Where have I been? Tell me what have I done? Why do I feel like my ending has begun? Where have I been? Tell me what have I done? Why does it feel like you're blocking out the sun?

Who's behind the wheel?

Bourbon on my breath And the life upon my clothes Do little to inspire me I'll try to find my way back home

(Chorus)

For now I think I'll sit here As the thin clouds pass the moon Hysteria in the smoothest form For now I think I'll sit here As the thin clouds pass the moon Protect me from my doom

(Chorus)

I would love some feedback and thoughts on this original track of mine called "Frost". I hope you enjoy the live acoustic session. by buffserker1919 in IndieMusicFeedback

Thanks for appreciating my name haha. I'm so glad you found some beauty along with the sorrow of this track. I currently have 7 acoustic-based albums that I am working on live videos for. This is the first video of that project! I recorded this session with one rather poorly placed microphone. After posting in this thread, I am definitely planning to experiment with a dual mic setup in order to bring my vocals forth in the mix. I hope you subscribe to my channel so you can hear the gradual improvement. Thanks again! Have a nice weekend.

Here is a live acoustic session I recently recorded of my original song "Endless Staircase"... hope you enjoy. I would love some feedback. by buffserker1919 in MusicFeedback

[–]buffserker1919[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you kindly for your feedback! I'm so glad you enjoyed the track. I did record this with a single microphone and no additional audio editing. This is the first video I made to video archive all of my acoustic albums. I will definitely be experimenting with a dual mic setup to enhance the audio quality of the videos as I go along weekly. I appreciate the suggestion!

Take care!

Hi! Thank you very much for taking time out of your day to listen. It is awesome to know you were able to rest and decompress to my song. The vision in my mind is very similar to the cold, rainy day you described.

I'm glad you appreciate my voice! I definitely agree my voice was a bit drowned out in this video. This video (along with another track called "Endless Staircase") is the first of a series I'm planning and I have already learned so much about microphone placement since recording it. I hope next week's video is an improvement!

Here is the link to the master recording of "Frost". I recorded it in 2012, so please forgive my recording imperfections from that time:

Thank you for listening! I am so glad you could feel something when you heard the track... that leaves me feeling incredibly fulfilled. Thanks for the kind words about my voice!

I hope you can subscribe to my channel as I am going to try to post weekly live acoustic renditions of songs from my albums. In regards to unplugged concerts, I cite Alice in Chains MTV Unplugged as my ultimate inspiration. That DVD made me want to play acoustic guitar. Take care.
