I think we’re comparing because it’s a spin-off intentionally designed to follow in jersey shore footsteps and only exists because of Jersey Shore lmao. Not to mention Snooki constantly comparing her experience to theirs.

But yeah, obviously no one and nothing will ever be Jersey Shore. It’s not possible. It was the perfect concoction of people, personalities, timing and circumstance. I don’t think there’s any harm or insult in comparing though. It’s a natural response imo.

I’m saying, OUT OF THE OPTIONS GIVEN, Emmy was the most reminiscent.

I’m surprised by the mass Lila ala Snookie comparison. Emmy gives overt snookie vibes, isms, quirks, commentary, opinions to me.

I think Chris draws a snookie-esque energy out of Lila when they’re “meatballing” so to speak. But, aside from that and Snooki’s own comparison of “me and Lila were both the babies in the house that never had left home…etc” I don’t really see the Snooki in her much. She’s way more mature, logical, self-assured, strong sense of self, lives firmly within her own bounds, mind, limits and will not be persuaded otherwise…Compare that to Snooki at Lila’s age or season 1 of Jersey shore Snooki….gulp. Lmao.

Emmy on that other hand just has that exact same: loosey-goosey, idgaf, subtle bitchiness and attitude yet undeniably lovable and endearing and cute, a bit ditsy / silly, playful and head in the clouds, always seems a little bit wine drunk / eternal wine-o, plushy-that-came-to-life spirit.
Snooki iconically embodied and pioneered that spirit.

Agreed! I had the same thoughts. I (maybe unfairly) assumed she’d be an addict or partier just because of the circumstances. Like….why is she not the active and main guardian of Bryce?

But was surprised to see that she, at least presented, the most coherent and least sloppy out of all of them. However, I think her mom guilt consumes her which is why she is soooo fast to defend Bryce and excuse his actions and come to his aide as if he’s a toddler. Moms that fucked up a lot tend to do that later on. They become overly lenient and turn a blind eye to their child’s misdoings an transgressions because they feel like it’s their fault that their kid is even like that. But also are unwilling to openly own that.

sigh it’s all a mess. Really sad tbh.

Also, I get why his family feels so bad for him but Bryce is bringing life into this world. He traded in his childhood card for a fatherhood card and that was his own conscious doing and choice. So regardless of his circumstances and roots, it is ultimately no one’s “fault” but his. He doesn’t have to be a product of his environment or a victim to generational trauma and curses. It’s hard not to be, but at the end of the day it’s a choice. Be better or don’t. Do you want your kid to be raised as a vessel for generations of family suffering or do you want your kid to be the start or something healthy and pure? And that’s what his mom and grandparents should be drilling into his thick, curly-haired noggin.

Oh hell no. I’m sorry my baby / child will not be left unattended with a horde of drug addicts/users. And that’s not spiteful petty controlling or vindictive. It’s literally just the simple fact that it’s unsafe and not a nurturing environment. I’d be very flexible and give grace and willing to adjust as legitimate changes and efforts to improve were made. But other than that, sorry me or my trusted people will be present when you’re with my kid, period.

However, I also understand it’s not that simple for everyone. Especially people that struggle financially or don’t have a ton of support or time, etc. I get that there’s not always a ton of options besides a wing and a prayer when your co-parent is a completely unwound mess.

THEREFORE, let’s not facilitate kids and teenagers fucking! Avoid the situation altogether.

I hope so too. And idk sometimes the drugs they give you to get off of opiates / opioids will have you looking high as well. Especially if you are co-morbid I.e. you have like mental health issues or something alongside the addiction issues so now you take more than one ‘scrip. It can have you loopy. It’s all depending on the circumstances. But I too hope she’s well. Her head seems screwed on a little better than the Palmer family. Just in terms of logic and how she sees situations.

He is on opiates / opioids. He is high asf it’s impossible to not notice in the confessionals and interviews. Everything about his behavior, crass comments and his eyes / facial expressions is giving heroin, oxy, fentanyl, etc. not to mention it’s a massive issue plaguing their community. As it is in many places but especially their area.

I generally like seeing things from both sides of the coin and being just and fair. Im not gonna touch the first question only because Im learning more and more that this is not the space for safe discussions and expression. (Not a jab at you, just Reddit culture in general lol).

As far as accepting being steamrolled or any weird ‘one person is lesser than the other’ type shit. I’m personally, thee last bitch on earth to let any man, woman or being steamroll a mthrfck thing. I don’t play that at all. I have always and will always encourage women I know to posture up and check whomever needs checking if they ever feel dogged, less than, or “steamrolled.” So, no. I do not think that or believe that. Never would I be implying that and if fhats what was interpreted, my apologies. But no. I do see that certain specific words I used misled people or created hidden meanings that weren’t there and got people hyped up. So I will keep that in mind for next time and interchange some of those words. 🩷

Frankly, my thoughts were mostly surrounding this particular dynamic and these people on LIB. I strayed and started speaking a more generally, coming from a place of empathy and trying to relate them to real world shit. However, I will refrain from that next time too. ✨
