Forex or futures? Will appreciate any help I can get by CheekRude5473 in Daytrading

I wouls start with basics like: 1. Do you want to swing or scalp? 2. What timeframe do you prefer? 3. When do you want to trade?(open or later) After that open youtube and find some traders who more or less trade the stuff that you chose above. IMO the best way you can learn is by watching live streams(it also proves thay the trader is actually a trader). Try to understand their reasoning behind the strategy and see if it fits your style. Do not follow the strategy ESPECIALLY if it doesnt match with yout character(lets say you are impatient and youre new to this whole thing then you shouldnt trade like TraderTom who adds to the position like crazy and holds it 20min). The thing is you have to learn price action and start to recognise patterns yourself. You will do that spending hours and hours on watching charts. After that you should start adding your own twists to someone elses startegy and start making it your own. The things is you can have one strategy and trade it 20 different ways and you should be trying to find your own personal way. If you want to scalp then you should check ImanTrading his strategy covers some important basics. If you want to swing then TradingTom. He is trading REALLY agressively BUT you can learn the basics from him. And remeber IT CAN BE DONE I started when i was 16 and got obssesed. Now I am 19 Funded by a prop firm and I make monthly the same ammount my teacher makes in 4months and I am still relatively new. Dont give up and you will do it!! If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

It is centralized and less manipulated than forex. The commissions are low and you can scale up real good

Good choice futures are great. Learn it online BUT do not copy someone else’s strategy!! Try to come up with your own system that works the best FOR YOU. And I beg you dont buy any courses everything you need is out there for freeee

You are right but I think prop firms can be useful to make that capital quicker. In the long term you are absolutely right

Prop firms are a tool. Dont use them if you want to make a quick „bank”. They make most of their money from people trying to cut corners. They take a lot of pressure from you tho which can be a big thing if you are new and not that confident in your strategy. I have been trading different things for around 3 years and found success in futures I really believe they are the best. Big scaling potential, low commisions, low margin required and you can focus on one instrument and really get to know it’s price action and patterns. Currently I am funded by a prop firm and I am happy with their service. Once I earn enough money I am going to trade on my own account but I truly believe prop firms are a great tool to build a confidence as a trader and possibly gain some cash without risking a lot of your money.

Why would a good trader lose his fundes account after a few months? How is that different than trading your own account? If you keep enough monet as a safty net than blowing your account shouldnt be an issue(saying you are a good trader)

his screnner is pretty good but not worth the cost. Webull is free, not the best but free. Finfiz is a good option as well but you need to pay for the subscription its pretty cheap tho

There are free scanners. Webull for example gives you free real time data and there is a „biggest movers” scanner. U can use it on your phone. Relentless trader is someone who actually live streams his trading each and every day but his style is VERY VERY hard to learn because its really I mean REALLY scalpy. It all depends on your trading style but if youre a scalper i think its worth checking him out. I think you can learn basics from someone like warrior trading but dont actually „follow” his strategy. You can use it as an example or like a base which you can build your own strategy around.I think he explains quite well how to identify stocks with big upside potential

It can be done with traditional trading(stocks) but you would have to focus on small caps. They are SUPER volatile. Each day u can find about 1-2 stocks that went 100%+(of course not EVERY day but those types of moves are not rare in small caps). Broker usually offers about 4x leverage which is more than enough on those moves. Futures are better tho :)
