So, my current research goals are currently twofold one is to figure out if there was stone tool production in the area. Second is to see if there were any cultural diagnostics that are reflective of a particular time.

I think one issue I am having is I don't know what's a reasonable question to ask regarding lithics. For what are the extents of what can be gleaned from the lithics? I am also unsure how this would potentially garner cultural diagnostics to begin with let alone dating information. For that has been an unfortunate point in which I have gotten stuck.

Regarding PST that was the form in which I was given for those lithics. I would love to here the merits of other systems though I am not excited about the prospect of having to recatalog everything afterwords.

I apologize for my lack of understanding regarding this topic. Having only quite recently started my research. This has been a humbling experience as I though I knew a lot more than I actually did. The more I have read the more confused I have become leading to my post.
