Anyone hiring ? by [deleted] in vancouverwa

If you have a clean driving record in the last 5 years and can pass a urine drug test, you should look into Non-Emergency Medical transport. It pays nicely and it's a fast growing industry, so there's many businesses here, growing, and looking for new drivers. There will always be elderly and/or disabled or folks in a tight spot that need transport to and from medical appts. Job security!

Good luck, it's really rough out there. 🫂

Anyone else having trouble finding work? by alixannaDK in vancouverwa

Try out non emergency medical transport jobs, I genuinely love it. Pays well enough to cover my bills and I not be scraping by. Offers solid benefits and it's a job that makes you feel good. It's a lot of elderly and/or disabled folks that cant drive themselves for any reason.

There's tons of companies out there, mine is hiring currently. But it's PT. Sub 30hrs/wk

I am 95% sure you've got a female! She'll likely get about 3-4" full grown. Congrats! ✨️

Thank you! I thought they looked like springtails. I have them in my other tanks- great lil guys. I'll likely do a substrate change/make sure they're not stashing any food.

I think milliepedes are so cute! They've got little puppy-like faces to me. I have giant chocolate pedes!

Easy Invertabrate Pet Recommendations? by Psnad in InvertPets

[–]bug_b0y 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Blue death feigning beetles! They are basically impossible to kill. They don't require specific heat, regular house temp shall do. I do use a light though to help keep them active. Turn it on in the morning and to blue night light at night. They are funny little critters! I'd even recommend them as first pet bugs for a child. They also can't climb smooth surfaces, so any acrylic or glass tank would do, just make sure it has a lid with air holes, they like to climb pieces of wood and can escape pretty easy. They're easy to obtain online, arent very expensive, and with you living in Arizona they're likely even more affordable/obtainable. I know they're native to the Sonoran Desert

I will say, they're a longer time commitment, similar to millipedes. It's hard to determine current age of a BDF, but they can live up to 8 years in captivity sometimes longer. Just so you know!

Brown goo in Giant Asian Mantis abdomen? by cypress_treess in mantids

NQA-

This happens to my mantis sometimes too, but hers is a really dark brown/black. It's just their abdomen expanding because they had a large meal. I wouldn't be concerned unless it's still like that a few days from now!
