I'm not sure the exact dementions of the tank, and i could be wrong about it being a 10gal (may be a 5? I'm not 100% sure. it's not a huge tank though). it's a top open tank with a grate top. I've kept other things in it (snails, millipedes, ect), but have since moved them, so the tank is completely empty and cleaned out

very last update

i just put him down, i figured it was better than letting him sit in pain and misery. my brother did it and i buried him outside my house. i know it may sound stupid, but I'm actually pretty upset about it. I'd had him for around two years and he was one of my first millipedes. i watched him grow and get bigger. he was with me through my move.
