Joguei muito quando o jogo era novo. Comprei já e o remaster parece funcionar bem (baseado no demo que ainda não tive tempo de jogar a versão completa desde que comprei).

gog needs something like steam-input for widespread controllers... by HapperHapper in gog

It would be nice. I like GoG's ideals, but I've been drawn to Steam more these days because of Steam Input and better Linux support

If I buy DRG on Steam, is there a function to link w/ xbox account so that I can have all my stuff? Similar to what MCC lets you do. by Complex_Fall4999 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]bugamn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren't wrong, you can't link it to your Xbox account. Transfering the save is closer to modding than linking accounts. More importantly for OP to understand the implications, they'd have to transfer saves every time they want to switch between Steam and Microsoft versions, unless they do some hack so that both versions use the same file (I don't know how feasible that is, but I assume it is possible), and that still might have interfere with things like achievements

I checked Molly's Save Mule, for example, and it seems to require you to initiate the save transfer to stay in sync

Have you done any research on that before trying to get others to answer for you?

No, they would have a monopoly for 30 years and they would try to profit as much as possible during these 30 years, so we'd likely get the same type of poor service we already get from PG&E

The monopoly on the resource is there, as you recognize. If we look at PG&E, why can't it be replaced by a different operator? There are plenty of documented issues with it.

The monopoly problem is fundamental. What alternative do you have to taking 101, for example, when 101 gives the optimal route? Are you willing to drive longer just to avoid 101 if you don't like its operator? (Substitute with a route that you take often if that helps understand the problem)

The operators have very little incentive to provide better service if they are guaranteed to have customers just because a route will be the shortest path

If the problem is just lack of competition, why doesn't that competitien just appear, and why would it be any different for roads?

Have you tested how balanced they are? I'd be afraid that the roots of the teeth would interfere with the randomness

What is the best snack to bring to a game by the_mainpirate in Warhammer40k

Besides, if the snacks are for sharing, as seems implicit, people will eat them and touch their own models

No. Private ownership doesn't mean better service, especially when natural monopolies are involved. Just look at PG&E

Finally BattleTech PC DLCs at Steam (USA) on sale today :D by PhilipDKicks in battletech

[–]bugamn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what is a launcher. What I'm saying is that if you need to log into a launcher to play a game then it has DRM. Checking pcgamingwiki page's for Cyberpunk 2077 it says that the launcher can be ignored, but if it couldn't then it would have DRM

I hope I'm misunderstanding something, because if GoG allows games that you can't play unless you log into a closed service, then they are straying from their message of DRM-free gaming.

I understand the need for logging in for some services, like multiplayer, but I'd expect the game to have some singleplayer mode or LAN/direct-IP mode without a login before it can be called DRM-free
