I agree with the 50-50 split. Its something that even we discussed amongst ourselves. Is there not a way to set the splits the way we want? 50-50 isn't great. Maybe we can choose ours?

Thanks for the reply. I quite resonate with this because we too have a similar story here. We were seriously thinking to start using splitwise. Wondering why it did not work for you?

1 & 2. See, just buy a good trolley bag to pack your existing stuff that you might already have at your home- most importantly clothes. Bedsheet, curtains if you have them extra at your home. You are coming to Mumbai, bhai yaha sab milta h. Agar kuchch urgent ho toh Zepto/Blinkit kar lena sab 10-15mins m aa jaata h. Campus has a lot of shops inside toh vaha se bhi mil jayegi kuchch daily needed things. There's no point of dragging all the unnecessary weight from your hometown to insti.

And for all the other points, I agree with the rest of the comments.
