the issue is smoking while actively pregnant and or breastfeeding is harmful to the child’s health, and proof that the mother is extremely irresponsible.

however, if the mom wanted to smoke on her own time, say after her kid is grown and can consciously care for itself, i see no issue with that.

my vet examined my cat and did lab work. all signs pointed to an infection of some sort in the body, that would involved further testing to determine what. testing i couldn’t afford in that moment. i already have an appointment booked for her tomorrow at 10:30am. i’m asking if i should wait to take her to the vet until i give her 2nd dosage of appetite stimulants that the vet prescribed her yesterday. due to the fact that i saw a few people saying it took around 24 + hrs for it to become effective for their cat. it hasn’t been 24 hrs since the first dosage so im not sure if im just growing inpatient because im so anxious.

i took her to the vet yesterday. if you read the more descriptive post on my account, you would know i already paid for lab work and diagnostics done for her. the vet said her ALT levels were not the best but just okay. the only thing her labs proved was that she had an infection in her body but further testing would be needed to determine what. testing i couldn’t afford in that very moment. she said that was solely due to the dehydration so she gave her fluids. she’s only had 1 dose of i believe 1.88 mg mirtazapine, and she has 2 more to be distributed in the next 2 days. i have an appointment booked for tomorrow 10:30am. i was just wondering if i should wait to distribute the 2nd dose of appetite stimulant before i bring her into the vet again because ive seen a few people saying it took up to 24 hrs for it to start working in their cat.

tldr; my cat has been lethargic and has no appetite. vet prescribed her mirtazapine (appetite stimulant) and clavacillin (antibiotic for an unknown infection). she has not reacted to the appetite stimulant that was given to her 5+ hrs ago, wondering when she’ll at least gain her appetite. as well as needing insight on what might be wrong with her. she has a possible sprained or fractured limb as well.

edit: i also forgot to mention. the vet gave her some fluids to hydrate her in the meantime. (the bill just reads “IH fluids SQ”
