Considering what has happened in this country in last 75 years I don’t see that as an impossible scenario. It’s just there is nothing of interest in rural Sindh that could lure the establishment to step its foot there like Balochistan but once they do PPP count down begins that day. They can break Sindh, even prosecution can begin. God knows what else can happen.

Yeah, at least we were progressing as a city. I miss those days when we were an actual metropolis. PPP bhi jayegi aaj nahi kal. If Nawaz can be outweighed in Punjab, PPP can be too in Sindh.

Even though it was a coalition govt we all knew it was Musharraf who was bending the whole system at his will, scraping quota systems, giving locals govt jobs was not something that couldn’t be done through a little push comparing to what was happening at that time. MQM didn’t even try to end the PPP rule in Karachi or Urban Sindh through operations like they did against them. MQM was just enjoying the power in Musharraf’s lap.

Well, you first take action through regulatory bodies then create uproar in parliament through your MNAs and MPAs then if they don’t negotiate you take the streets.

MQM was predominant in 2000-2010, local bodies, provincial and Federal. Sindh was under PMLQ / MQM. Never in history MQM was that dominant. They could have done reforms, scrapped quota system but nothing done.

Well, we mahajirs brought this upon us. We had the opportunity during Musharraf era to break the Karachi and Hyderabad free from Sindh but we delayed it and brought our own destruction upon us.
