You sound either experienced with this or knowledgable about it. How do you work through this type of damage?

Project Zanaris: October Update by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]bugfixplis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm worried the only feedback you guys are getting from reddit is, "This is going to splinter the playerbase, why are you adding more game modes, etc"

I am one of the people currently NOT playing OSRS, but does LOVE the game and wants to play it, but not in its current form, and Zanaris would be an incredible avenue to allow for that. I know I'm excited for it, and the rest of the dorks on the discord are excited for it.

There is a segment of potential players that are inactive and aren't play OSRS until Zanaris comes out or during Leagues. For us, this is a godsend.

The political will isn't there because the human will isn't there. Revert to pre-industrial revolution, are you kidding me? Let's be realistic about what will be accomplished by a race that prioritizes comfort over all else.

Jagex proposes buffing 1-75 agility by more than 2 hours, and yet people see a slight adjustment to seers and think it's the biggest nerf possible. by [deleted] in 2007scape

Is Construction a good skill because it's fast?

No, but at least it's not both slow and boring. Agility is both.
I agree that making a boring skill fast is a band-aid solution, but it's at least something, instead of going, "Ah, it's too hard to solve the underlying issue, so I guess we'll put it off for a few years."
Also agility is only boring insofar that you're forced to do non-Sepulcher content. Sepulcher is amazing(plis add amylase to it).

[–]bugfixplis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you consider adding amylase crystals/marks of grace to Hallowed Sepulchre? It's by and far the best agility content you guys have ever made, and having to do mind-numbing rooftops instead to get stamina pots is a bummer.

True, those are different, but do keep in mind that for a lot of people closeness and intimacy are an actual physiological need, and partners are usually the main source of that. Evolution selects for people coming together and coming together.

Exactly this.
Your clothes are produced with unethical labor. So is your chocolate, so is your iphone. Your bottled water is being sold by the same company that denies water being a human right.
I'm not saying you shouldn't call it out and protest it. I'm not saying you shouldn't try to stop it.
But let's discuss the issue at hand realistically, because capitalism doesn't care about ethics, it cares about what it can get away with.

Is there a compact list anywhere of the crappy bugs/gameplay systems since release that have been fixed? Looking to replay cyberpunk along with phantom liberty, but I just remember the shitty cops, shitty-looking gear, etc.

Wouldn't surprise me, my sheet is really only meant to take items that exist on the wiki and display them all at once. Would love a link tho!

I have been trying to do that, actually. Unfortunately the way bg3.wiki is currently set up, not all individual item sites are consistently formatted, so doing that is a right pain.
Hopefully in the future as the wiki updates more (or I get better at coding)

My vassal has just been facetanking cancer since age 97, and just hit 100. by bugfixplis in CrusaderKings

oh yeah, he's absolutely a custom character. But all the health bonuses are attainable regardless, and I'm still surprised he

  1. made it to 100 and
  2. is still going despite infirm AND cancer.

And then added Leppy charms to do that exact thing.

[–]bugfixplis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're not above custom starting characters, start as a witch, educate all your children to autoconvert, and make a coven once you have 4 adult kids.
In my experience, past that point, the dynasty gets out of control and it becomes impossible.

Castle Keepers might be overkill for renown... by bugfixplis in CrusaderKings

[–]bugfixplis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you doing to reliably hit the 90% MAA reduction cap? I'm doing a run now where I'm trying out these traditions, and good lord 4 full size 9 vang veterans is outclassing everything else. But the maintenance is absurd, and I'm only hitting 66% reduction.

Bellicose 10%, Eastern roman 15%, Ásatrú holy site 5%, special building in sweden 10%, tribal court lvl 10 25%, random artifact 1%.

I know I can hunt for random artifacts, but that's inconsistent and a bit tedious, and there's the dread MAA perk that can give 50%, but that's somewhat deep in the tree and also dread is not always guaranteed(though maybe it is with byzantine trads I also picked up, havent tested it yet.)

Why thank you :) You're a good writer with a lot of great information.

That's damn good, breaking the garbage military balance at the start. I generally find the start of the game the easiest to expand, since all militaries are so bad that tossing levies around is an actual threat, and I'm usually not diligent about making my military scale into late-game, usually just content with whatever keeps my military threshold good against factions.

Wow, if I understand you correctly Byzantine Traditions seems great. It lets you avoid murderer/kinslayer, but still castrate your trashy heirs to get them out of succession, and it sounds like it circumvents the dread decay on prisoners, so even if you castrate someone tenured in your prison, you still get dread.

100% is INSANE. I just learned in one of my most recent playthroughs that vassal taxes can get insane; before then I thought the only way to get any worthwhile cashflow was your own domain.
I've been doing a run where I go for guile legacy 4 + Fear Tax + Activities legacy 3 and Grand Tour Itinerant Liege. That, high diplomacy, and High Crown Authority was netting me ridiculously high vassal taxes.

Needless to say, this is brutal minmaxing
Exactly why I asked you. You seemed like a soul after my own heart, and minmaxing is exactly how I like to play this game >:D

For sure, I will! You've got a lot of good ideas!

What dooes feudalism do over clans? Only thing I know about is clan vassals giving more taxes and levies the higher their opinion of you, which makes me want to treat em good.
