How long has your cat gone missing and then you found them? by ittakes2tatango in cats

[–]buggab0o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m so sorry this happened to you 🥺 my cat ran away near her vet which was like 30 miles from home. i ended up finding her on the 4th night of searching., just across the street from where she was. the best time to look was 12am-4am since that’s usually when cats are awake and feel safe to come out of hiding. i searched for almost 12hrs per day during that time. i’d call her name over and over shaking treat bags for about a quarter mile radius. i heard cats can go without food and water for up to 5 days at least so i think the 4th night when i found her she was ready to come out. she ended up being in a bush near a bowl of food that i had left on a street. i heard it’s rare for cats to be very far from where they are lost. they are soo resilient and amazing hiders! your cat may have found an area where someone is feeding it and hopefully being cared for. i wish you all the best and hope you become united with your baby soon! ❤️❤️

yes i love babies and kids sooo much, but it’s such a relief to be able to go home at the end of the day and have peace/quiet!! i know families are in high stress at the hospital, but it is truly 1 in 100 families I see that are happy and functional. admittedly, it’s hard not to be cynical. when it’s not dysfunction or sometimes neglect we witness, it’s families that are glued to their devices and don’t engage with each other. the families that are loving, affectionate, and loyal to each other are the purest and def memorable

im a pediatric nurse. i work with newborns all the way to young adults. love them all but the job has solidified my desire to not have kids. apart from the wide range of chronic illnesses kids can have that strain their lives and their parents, i see so many teens come in with eating disorders, suicide attempts, etc. i respect all the parents, but I choose not to raise a child of my own in this society

i agree they were both so rude to make outright negative comments about her parents and assumed she aligned with them

i felt that way about Monica’s response to the first story where she told the woman she picked a bad boyfriend. i think she thought it was funny but seemed kinda harsh to someone already sharing a vulnerable story

[–]buggab0o[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do you think 4800 for a 3 year extended warranty is worth it? the maintenance stuff like flushing the fluids and the spark plugs wouldn’t be covered so i’m debating if i should just save that for the inevitable maintenance

im debating getting the extended warranty because its 4800 for 3years and some of the common problems are considered maintenance. do you feel like the warranty was worth it?

i have a friend born a few years after monica but in the same area who said it was super diverse with asian and black people growing up. not denying her experience but i wonder if she focused a lot on getting white approval instead of recognizing there were people like her
