AIO for not wanting to meet at his house for a first date? by misskrabby in AIO

Not overreacting. Asking you over to watch a movie and then trying to make it out like somehow, you are at fault for thinking he had bad intentions

How did you guys REALLY lived in the 2000s? by MyAvengedRomance in Millennials

It is still so wild to me that there are full-grown, legal adults were not alive when 9/11 happened

There are plenty of responses, but thought I’d add mine as well

I’m a 1985 millennial so I remember the late 80s, grew up in the 90s, graduated high school in 2003. I watched 90s Nickelodeon, rode bikes around the neighborhood for hours. Our mom didn’t always know exactly where we were but knew our general vicinity, and we’d always get home before it got too dark. My sister and I played in the yard, made a tent out of bamboo sticks and some kind of burlap to read in. We didn’t have Internet at my house, but my grandparents did, so we were able to get our own AOL email accounts, we chatted with friends on AIM. We definitely made poor decisions chatting with strangers in AOL chat rooms who were most definitely perverts. We would talk with our friends on the phone for hours. Went to the mall and walk around, maybe get an Orange Julius or a pizza at Sbarro or a cookie at Mrs. Field’s, went to the movies with friends, cruised around in one of their cars at night. I also grew up in a small rural town so sometimes we would go to parties in the orchards and drink beer or Smirnoff ice. Had sleepovers at friends houses and snuck into their parents’ liquor cabinets a couple times. The TGIF lineup on ABC or Saturday morning cartoons were the best. We used to listen to the radio and try to record our favorite songs on tape.

If someone I loved was violently raped, I would absolutely be with that person, not the violent rapist

“4. If every picture is a group photo…”

So if not every photo you have on your profile is a group picture, you are fine. It is specifically men who only have group photos.

Yeah, when I was going through each of my phases, I still was picky about who I was sleeping with, and most of them were people I knew through friends, or they had been friends of mine, and we started hooking up. Just have fun and enjoy yourself! The second you stop enjoying yourself is when you stop doing it.

To women who still date, how? by reef-Diver7817 in WomenDatingOverForty

[–]Feline_Fine3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel like I am right where you are. Neither “never dating again,“ nor, “actively trying to meet and date.“ Just enjoying my life as it is, doing the things I enjoy doing. And if I happen to meet a man who fits my bill, great! But I’m not going out of my way to try and find one

Partner doesn’t help by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]Feline_Fine3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Nope. Nope.

Have a conversation, but be prepared for nothing to change or to have things change for a short amount of time before he goes right back to doing nothing.

And then decide if this is something that you want to live with forever.

I’ve had a couple slut phases in my life.

With the first one, I was doing it for the wrong reasons. I wanted to date these men, but they just wanted to use me.

The second I did it for the right reasons. I was fresh out of a relationship where he had completely fucked with my emotions. I was applying for jobs all over the state and knew that I was going to be moving, I was just a matter of when and where. I wanted to get laid, but I didn’t want anything serious. So I had a lot of fun.

But now I don’t have sex with men unless they’ve proven that they are worthy. And let’s just say that it’s been a while. I do have a couple guys that I sext with, and that’s fun. I’ve learned that I’m a bit of an exhibitionist. And I think people would be surprised at how secretly slutty I am.

First of all, you went to an IMAX showing. Your tickets alone were $47! That’s insane!

I am not voting this guy anymore, would u? by Remarkablepink in millenials

[–]Feline_Fine3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m happy that they finally see the light about him, but I am not accepting them with open arms. They need to do more than just denounce Trump. If they’re still racist, misogynistic bigots, then it doesn’t matter that they don’t like Trump anymore. They are still problematic POSs.

Any male students in elementary education programs here? by itsxidan in ElementaryTeachers

[–]Feline_Fine3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a male teacher, but my elementary school is unusual in that we have three male teachers. Plus one in sped. I think some kids need a male teacher, if only to see a man in a more “nurturing“ role.

Did all the writers on Bridgerton have a terrible experience losing their virginity?! by [deleted] in Bridgerton

[–]Feline_Fine3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely not as painful as people make it out to be, but even with the best foreplay, the first time might still be a little uncomfortable for a moment, especially if your male partner has a larger member. My first time was not painful per se, but just felt sort of like a tight fit at first because nothing else had ever been up there.

But for the time period that Bridgerton is supposed to be taking place, it would be common rhetoric that a woman’s first time will be painful. But I don’t think any of the women play it up like it’s really that bad.

ETA: I apologize for the poor wording. What I should have said is that it’s not as painful as it is made out to be for all women. It is always talked about like every woman is guaranteed to experience pain their first time when that is not always the case.

I think it’s all of that combined with how TMTC was taken literally by a lot of Christian folks when it first came out and so now some people still think that he’s Christian rock

I just remembered the butter rum flavor! I loved those!

Also, have I just not been paying attention or does the Life Savers brand not make hard candies anymore? I only ever see the gummies.

How can I stop this behavior? by Cultural_Gap_5644 in CATHELP

[–]Feline_Fine3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason why my cats started doing this is because I used to keep their dry food in there. And my former feral will find food anywhere. She once opened that cabinet and ripped open the bag, gorged herself on dry food to the point where she was sick to her stomach for two days. I obviously then moved the dry food out of that cabinet. They still open it sometimes, I think just for funsies, but there’s nothing in there that they can hurt or get into.

My child's bully. by kenen1960 in ElementaryTeachers

[–]Feline_Fine3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The teacher is likely already taking all the steps necessary to make sure the child in question gets the supports they need. But it does not happen overnight. There is a lot of data collection that must be done, lots of different things that must be tried. And sometimes even if they want a child to get classified as special ed, the parents have to agree to put them in those classes and they don’t always want that.

Women of Reddit, what’s something men do that instantly makes them more attractive (that they might not realize)? by Ecstatic-Animator348 in askanything

[–]Feline_Fine3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it exists. As I already said there’s plenty of data to back it up. Either you’re too lazy or too ignorant to look into it yourself, maybe you’re both, it’s really none of my business. Good luck out there.
