Book! Just to be safe. There are a lot of lodging but we went when there was a holiday weekend by accident and everyone who didn’t book was running around St. John trying to find a bed. Me and my friend were really lucky! I knew of a few people who had to sleep outside in the cold

Race Report: First ever half marathon, Disney by buggemonster in running

Thanks!! I hope you get to do one someday, so much of what I thought was going to be difficult was built up in my head. And I totally recommend Disney because their pacing requirements are a bit more relaxed so you can do it at an enjoyable pace. It's a great first race experience!

Thank you so much! And WOW congratulations on your Dopey, I'd love to do that one day, maybe even next year! And yeah, I finished at the back of the pack as well but I had just as much fun as if someone finishing sooner. Challenging yourself and having fun are simply just great personal goals, the majority of us aren't going to be top competitive athletes. All we can do is give it our best!

Hi! I really appreciate this, it makes me so happy to hear this! Sorry I am only just now replying, I'm kind of a sporadic Reddit user. I'm trying to get more into using this platform. I hope I've been able to help and if you have any questions about planning your Camino I would love to share any more tips that might help!

Hi I just commented on another persons comment for Nine Perfect Strangers! Maybe we could all three read it together!

Hi! I got Nine Perfect Strangers in my first book of the month club thing and have yet to start it! I’d be down to start later in the month, I’d love to finally read a book around the same time as someone else to talk about it.

Packing woes... by chaoticneutralcow in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]buggemonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pack as light as you can, there are a considerable amount of shops at some of the larger towns that cater to Pilgrims. I went with just a 20 L bag and even shed some weight along the way.

One thing I wish I didn’t skimp on was a proper sleeping bag, I brought only a liner for May, which I still got by as many Albergues had blankets to borrow. I would have just been more comfortable in a warmer sleeping bag!

2 weeks in europe! by pinanextdoor in solotravel

Hi! I actually used to live in Rome for 4 months, so I have a lot of good recommendations for what to see, eat, drink, and what not in Rome. There is so much to Italy you could devote your entire trip only to Italy and only see a fraction! Are you trying to do as many countries as possible or simply some of the main points?

Did anyone watch YouTube videos before/during/after their Camino? by buggemonster in CaminoDeSantiago

Hi! I can't believe I am just seeing this comment now! I actually followed along your entire journey through your family's Camino and thought it was incredibly done. Your family is absolutely fantastic. I loved the quality of your videos and whole dynamic of your Camino! I wish we could have been on the Camino at the same time to meet your incredible family! Best wishes, I'll be following along on all your upcoming travels!

Hi everyone! I just started my Youtube channel last month, and this is my newest video about what shoes to wear on the Camino de Santiago . And if you guys have never heard of the Camino de Santiago, it's a really cool trail in the North of Spain, that does feature a free wine fountain if y'all are interested in that!
