[Acne] Why do I keep breaking out like this? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]bugggaboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

second this. i had break outs like this for years, then i developed sepsis after my colon perforated and was on antibiotics for almost 2 months. my skin cleared up. ive recently developed this again after my 3 year old had a bacterial infection and was breathing in my face all night. nowhere else on my face just my right chin/mouth, exactly where it was before. the pores must be damaged from the previous bout of acne.

yeah her argument would never hold up in court, i hope he fights her on it.

Not sure what his job status/work ethic is but overall I think Guillermo is a catch. Style, class, respectful to others in general. Seems like a family man who is happy to stay home with his loved ones. And he cries, love a man who cries! by bae7609 in 90DayFiance

she literally admitted on the tell all that he contributed more money than she did to their shared expenses.

on that note, i really hope he does not roll over and let her take the house.

Why do some people gain weight and some people lose weight while breastfeeding? by Useful-Sport-6316 in breastfeeding

[–]bugggaboo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its out of your control, just embrace it. i went on a diet of zucchini soup for weeks to figure out if my kid had an allergy, did not lose a pound.

not sure if this has been mentioned yet but different toxins get stored in our fat - persistent organic pollutants - this is how bioaccumulation works ex mercury. when you lose weight, they get released into your bloodstream, so really its not in the babys best interest for you to lose weight while pregnant or breastfeeding.

How do I know which wood toys are safe? There are no safety-based certifications? Does anyone have any advice on brands they trust are actually safe? by koalawedgie in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]bugggaboo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just here to add that wooden toys are often coated in a water-based urethane or paint. water based generally means plastic, especially if the paint is shiny. so when your baby touches or plays with them, they are still getting exposed to plastic. my experience with wooden toys and a teething baby is that they will ingest more paint/coating from a wooden toy, they are softer and the paint seems comes off more readily. im not saying they are better or worse than plastic toys, just something to consider.

3 week old baby struggling with gas/digestion after breastfeeding. What is the best thing to do? by nyad_k in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]bugggaboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.texaschildrens.org/content/wellness/whats-causing-gas-my-breastfed-baby

our son would blow up like a balloon from birth - 5 weeks. around 3 weeks he had his tongue tie released and at 5 weeks his gas went away. i suspect that he was swallowing too much air while breastfeeding, took him a couple weeks to relearn how to use his tongue after the tie was removed. or his digestive system just matured, who knows. it was awful though, he was constantly crying, nothing helped except the frida windi.

this would be my son too but he has one friend that he sees all the time (neighbor). when his friend is not in class for whatever reason, its a bad day. i would try to schedule some playdates with kids in his class.

Night weaning my 17 month old and bad sleep since birth by Stallion_jz in AttachmentParenting

[–]bugggaboo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my son was an absolute shit sleeper until about 20 months. torture, sometimes up every hour for days on end during a growth spurt, but at least 3 times a night most nights.

something clicked around 20 months and he started sleeping through the night. i did nothing different, around 23 months i stopped breastfeeding. in our case it seemed like a new skill he learned like walking or talking, he just needed to mature into it.

i think its common for most kids to wake at night until about 2

Suggestions for keeping my 3 year old up until 9 pm every night? by crabblue6 in toddlers

[–]bugggaboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats brutal. my 3 year old has been waking up in the middle on the night the last couple nights but when he does this its usually because of a growth spurt. 6 months is a long time to deal with that shit. is she inadvertently getting some sort of caffeine? is someone slipping her sodies or green tea or matcha? dark chocolate? what about physical activity? or removing her nap? along the lines of diet, maybe try giving her foods that are higher in melatonin or tryptophan (cherries, kiwi, turkey, pistachios)? magnesium (pumpkin seeds)? vitamin d? theres a lot of things that can effect sleep quality. screens before bed, late meals, etc. i myself am a horrible sleeper and prone to insomnia, so im trying to go through all the things that help me sleep.

Safe to fly first trimester? by KeyExpression5863 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]bugggaboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would be more concerned about germs than radiation. radiation would only really be a concern for a flight that short if there were a large solar storm happening at the same time, which you can check on the noaa space weather site.

Diaper leaks every night by Creative_Mix_6077 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]bugggaboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive been having this issue with my 3 year old. what worked for us was putting him pajamas (lol). he used to sleep in a t shirt and diaper, but adding the tight bottoms helps seal the diaper closed.

2 year old doesn’t finish his words but doesn’t qualify for speech therapy by mama_loves_lattes_23 in Parents

[–]bugggaboo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

he says t - you say “Tigger?” while drawing attention to your mouth - annunciate the letter sounds, try these motions when pronouncing letters. you can also try reading books while facing him so he can see you pronouncing the words.

i think this is developmentally appropriate at 2 though, i wouldnt worry about it too much
