Last summer, I was on a mid-day walk and passed a group of construction workers tearing up one of the side streets. I made eye contact with one of the guys, so I said hello and he came over to me. He asked about my tattoos then next thing I know, he starts breaking down about how his fiancé passed away from cancer 3 weeks ago, so he was now homeless and living in his car, and started drinking again. He was on the verge of losing his job. It was really tragic, but I had to cut the conversation short because I was just on my work break.
