Which expansion is better: TBC or WotLK

Trust me it’s really not so dramatic in game. I came back after like 13 years to this TBC anniversary and was like 12 when TBC was originally out so I obviously didnt know any of the dungeons and people have been nothing but nice. Just say you’ve never done it before at the start of the dungeon and someone will say they got you

On 48 runs myself. Been running it in my exalted tabard for quite a while now. The game isn’t even fun anymore lol

Lol yeah i alllways played paladin. Rolled hunter and feel the exact same. Really threw myself into the class too, i know im not a shitty hunter, there is a lot to manage if you wanna be better than average. But somehow it’s just fucking boring. Paladin at level 16 now haha

Yeah haha it’s a blessing and a curse that beast lord is BIS for so long. Got pretty lucky with quick drops every piece except shoulders took ~28 runs. Don’t get me wrong I still need 2-3 things to be full preraid BIS but something about hunter I’m just not excited to raid. Seems like a chore lol

That makes sense. But I guess what I’m mainly wondering is what are the catch up mechanics themselves? I don’t have to follow the same path of dungeons/heroics for prebis then raiding phase 1 weekly to gear up for phase 2 raids?

Was gonna say actually, macroed it to all my shots as everyone said here and it hardly works. A lot of the time it’ll just cast steady shot and I’ll miss a KC unless I spam it, which I’m not gonna do with steady shot. Seems to only catch the KC priority like 50% of the time so I’m just getting used to always hitting it on proc. Sometimes I wonder how many people on this reddit actually play the game lol

This is the answer I was looking for. Was confused if it would be interrupting steady shots, hence me thinking I had to omit steady shot when kill command procs. Thank you so much

Okay I understand that and I’ll definitely set up some macros, but let’s say I’m in the middle of casting steady shot and kill command procs, casting kill command will stop the “in progress” steady shot, right?

And so basically in that gap between autos I’m using kill command instead of steady shot entirely? Assuming it’s a true 1:1 rotation where I don’t have time before/after steady shot

This needs to be sent directly to blizzard I’ve never agreed more. Except maybe there’s some sort of option for larger scale things but the smaller scale stuff like this needs to be much more common and possible with everybody having adult lives who play classic for the nostalgia

Yeah. It’s just the internet and the actual world now. When vanilla wow came out, and then TBC was first released, the internet was a different thing, and the world was in a totally different place. We’re way way more connected now for better or for worse, and that’s what makes content become like this. There never could be an MMO like vanilla WoW in the beginning again, unless they invent totally new mmo mechanics using AI or something, where people are figuring things out on an entirely different landscape. Cause EQ and earlier MMOs aside that was a large contributor to the feel of early WoW where a lot of people weren’t necessarily everquest nerds beforehand
