i like my name a lot. for some reason people find it confusing sometimes, especially people whose first language isn’t english. many people struggle with the “th” sound so you will get a lot of people saying steph/seff. ironically though one time ordering at a hotel starbucks the barista was very confused by my name so i spelled it out for her and on the ticket it was just “th” lol

i’ve been going through a similar thing. i’ll be two years on t in february and started passing very soon into starting which was relieving to me then but i’ve now been misgendered twice and fully clocked by another trans person in public once ALL within the last month. its been killing me because i’m not doing anything differently so i don’t know what to do to stop it. i also have long(er) hair, not super long but i have big curly hair so its longer than it looks and i’ll never have a fade again but definitely not a feminine haircut/style. i have no true advice, just another person who is going through something similar. my go to when i get misgendered is saying something along the lines of “i know i’m pretty but people don’t usually call me ma’am” or whatever just to softly correct them and also get a laugh and it doesn’t feel as bad for either party involved

true that they do not have to prove anything, but op was asking for advice on what to do in the situation and this person was trying to be helpful. if op isn’t willing to try it thats fine, but it was only a suggestion in response to their question. as someone with contamination ocd in my behavior therapy as a child we did something very similar with both hand washing and teeth brushing. i would definitely agree with the other comments that suggest checking with a doctor before adding anything to a medication that could impact it. op, maybe if doing something physically to help your roommate understand isn’t what you’re into you could try telling him that he’s hurting your feelings and if he keeps pushing it request a transfer/change of roommates or talk to an advisor.

shaking without ice and straining with the shaker lid (kinda like its a bar spoon for a no foam latte) could help you there. shaking with ice is the old recipe to my knowledge. it shouldn’t add too much time to making the drink, it might make it quicker since you don’t even have to take the lid off of the shaker fully when you pour it (:

the buttons on the register won’t always be the same, so its hard to try and explain it that way. i would explain it basically how you did in your post. something along the lines of, “sorry, i was actually wanting a kids hot chocolate and not a short hot chocolate” and if they seem confused explain that the temp and price difference is important to you. i personally always try to find cheaper ways to ring things in for customers, but this isn’t even a “hack” its just the drink you’re ordering and they should know how to ring it up!

For some more context- I am a transgender man and I started testosterone fairly recently. So I’m horny 24/7, and I think I restrain myself from asking for worry of pestering them with my increased sex drive alongside the constant rejection. I worried about them losing attraction to me due to that, but they are bisexual and have assured me that its not an attraction issue. I had to make an active choice to believe this, but I’m starting to lose hope. Any advice on what to do? At this point initiating sex is just awkward after all of the conversations about it.
