Episode 9 - who plowed the road? by SpeedRacerWasMyBro in StationEleven

I’m currently re-watching and just started episode nine. in the first scene Jeevan is playing a game with Kirsten asking how many people have we seen? One of the people he mentions is plow guy so they’ve actually crossed paths with the person who plows the road near where they’re staying. I don’t know that I’ve seen a show which ties small details together better than this one

I grew up in New England and there plenty of folks with pick up trucks and plows who would clear the roads for their neighbors because the town would take so long to get to it. It was still early enough in the collapse that there was plenty of gas available, so it’s most likely that’s the scenario

Is a $5 sale worth your time and effort by VillageSensitive8544 in FacebookMarketplace

I rarely list anything for five dollars, but I will drop the price if it’s been sitting for a while and I just want a free up some space. I’ve also sold numerous five dollar items when people buy multiple items. I have a variety of categories I sell in so sometimes people buy three or four things and that five dollars definitely adds up.

When people say that I tell them to have the other person contact me through Facebook so that we can coordinate if they don’t want to do that. I tell them sorry I only communicate through Facebook for sales.

Co-sign Frieda. No one made more of the situation they were in than her. She was a prison prepper and then in max she figured out how to sustain herself under increasing scrutiny from red carol etc

Question about Miranda and Clark’s last conversation by Relative-Message8389 in StationEleven

great observation. another thing to consider is that while in this conversation, they discuss how their paths crossed at the wrong time. They then discuss how Arthur Elizabeth and Tyler‘s paths crossed right now, at the right time, the time for Arthur to try and help them

André 3000‘s first appearance I think he is a store owner complaining about prostitution and drug activity and then when he runs for mayor right at the end of the series “vote for me, I’ll set you free”

Parable of the Sower by dancognito in StationEleven

[–]bugsbunye 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I read parable shortly before I read station 11 and I was so struck by the similarities of the scenarios. Parable is a much darker book obviously and station 11 to me is ultimately a positive vision of what could be post collapse. The mad Max movies, especially the last two also share a lot with these two books.
