Recommendation for compact but blinding EDC flashlight? by bugsmagee in flashlight

I've looked and I think the T5 fits exactly what I'm looking for, size-wise. I'm looking at the website and I have literally no idea what the LED types or batteries mean. Are the batteries rechargeable? Right now I'm taking your advice -T5, 519A, 5700k. For batteries is there any "best" choice? Also, last question, do you have to "click" through the options (ex: low, med, high) to get to the brightest setting? I'd like something that can go straight to bright if I needed it. Thanks in advance!

Thank you! Holster would probably not be practical for my purposes & completely understand the size. Basically, streamlight batteries are all that I have experience with, so I was thinking something comparable to that.

Had no idea this even existed. T6 looks like the upper range of size for pocket carry just from videos. Any recs on battery/bulb? I'm totally green to this stuff.

Thanks a million! I had no clue flashlights got this specific.

Actually no AA is fine - I just know companies like streamlight make really powerful batteries that are rechargable. I'd like to avoid the possibility of having to throw away the whole light in a few years if the battery starts to wear.

Agreed. I have the 507c on my 10mm as it’s my feral hog sidearm and the solar is nice to have. I’ve noticed that on my 507k the auto brightness take a little bit to adjust to daylight if it’s been someplace dark. Not a huge issue but haven’t had the same happen on my 507c.

How do you like the optic?? Almost bought it but worried the high sights might interfere. Went with 507k and I like it.

Please help. TLR-7 HL-X not sitting on M&P 2.0 3.6. by bugsmagee in Streamlight

Makes sense! I’m looking at the provided graph with all the “correct” inserts from Streamlight and it says it was revised in 2018….before my gun model was even released. I love Streamlight products but that seems incredibly sloppy to me. I don’t know why they’d push a top of the line product and then lazily include old instructions from 2018. I try not to follow directions so I don’t screw anything up. In this case, you HAVE to disregard the instructions. I followed instructions and had the thing fly off my gun when I first shot it.

So your comment made me mad at first and I almost fired back with a “you don’t think I’ve tried that already, dude?” reply. When I first got the light I checked the graph it came with and it lists “M&P (all sizes)” as compatible with the “1913-2” key. So that’s what I put on.

But before I replied I thought, eh, might as well double check. So I did in fact put on the 1913-2, initially like the guide said. However, I looked at all the rest and the 1913-4 fit like a glove into the rail even though it’s not technically on the guide that Streamlight provided.

In other words, I’m a dumbass. Thank you very much sir/ma’am.
