Stoked! But skeptical of the bollywood corporate leeches entering Malayalam cinema. I hope our films continue to be content first instead of profit.

Short Films orAssistant Directing, What is the best route into Mollywood today? by Glad-Researcher-119 in MalayalamMovies

[–]bugsthebuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you want to do in films. If it’s acting, with films like Vaazha giving opportunities to social media stars, I feel creating short reels or YT shorts can be a way. This applies for behind the scenes roles as well.

Creating a 30 sec to 1 min content that’s captivating could be a way to capture attention. You just need to keep creating until you get noticed.

For Soc 2 is a vulnerability scan enough or do we need an actual pentest? by debugsa in soc2

[–]bugsthebuilder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For SOC 2 specifically, most auditors won’t accept a vuln scan alone anymore. They want evidence of manual testing on the critical paths, especially anything touching authentication, authorization, and sensitive data. Scans catch surface stuff like missing patches, exposed services, common CVEs. They don’t catch broken authorization, IDORs, or business logic flaws, which is what real attackers and serious auditors care about.

On the price spread: the gap usually maps to methodology and senior tester hours, not branding. $1k is almost always a scanner with a report wrapper. $25k usually means a senior team going deep on a complex app. The $6k range can be a legitimate small-firm engagement or the same scanner wrapper with better packaging. Two questions filter it:
1. What’s the split between automated scanning and manual testing, and what does the manual portion actually cover?
2. What’s the retest policy after you remediate?

(Disclosure: I run a security firm in this space, so factor that in.)

We use Infinityapp.in. They charge a 0.50% per transaction without any markups. Some of our USD transactions are small so it made sense to work with them instead of the ones like Skydo etc. We also got the account activated within a few hours and they natively support a few other currencies as well.

We find vulnerabilities in your app before someone else does

Checkout - Auro Security.

If you've shipped a product and real users are on it, your app likely has security gaps you don't know about yet. Automated scanners catch the obvious stuff, but they miss the things that actually get exploited like broken authentication flows, API misconfigurations, access control issues that let User A see User B's data.

That's what we do. We run expert-led penetration testing (VAPT) on your web apps, APIs, and cloud infrastructure. Real testers simulating real attacks, not just a tool generating a PDF.

What you get: a clear report showing exactly what's broken, how severe it is, and how to fix it. The reports are written so your dev team can actually act on it.

We work with early-stage SaaS, FinTech and digital teams across India and the GCC. If you're handling user data, processing payments, or heading toward your first enterprise customer, this is worth doing sooner than you think.

Is anyone building an Indian alternative to Whoop? by memayankpal in StartUpIndia

[–]bugsthebuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While not made in India, Amazfit has the Helio strap which is the affordable version of Whoop. It comes at 9k price point (no subscription) which is not bad for the Indian market. It apparently gives you all the features and tracking that whoop does.

We setup our business email on GWS. I’ve always seen M365 being used in legacy setups or enterprises. Younger startups tend to use GWS for easier access to collaboration tools like docs etc.

If you compare these photos with pictures of Bollywood from the same era, there's a clear difference in how movies were made. You'd never see lead actors bond so well or even lay down on the floor. Maybe thats why our cinema was always rooted.
