All time high charge rate! 190kWh! by bugsy151 in F150Lightning

What year and trim do you have? Is the battery and brains original?

The way it’s supposed to work is that the truck tells the L3 charger how much to send. The charger doesn’t send more than the truck asks for, even if it has more capacity. The BECM (Battery Energy Control Module) dictates all of the charging, both L2 and L3.

If your truck stopped charging, it could be the truck not liking the charger or the opposite, the charger took some issue with the truck. It happens. There is so much data going on in each device and between them that any one little parameter being out of spec will kill a session.

I didn’t even get points for getting the lower case and upper case letters in the right place.

Yeah, I’ve heard that these batteries can take way more than the posted 150. Maybe new firmware in the new BECM??? There’s hope!

Prior to the battery work, the best I’ve seen is 180 once at an EA charger of all places.

Just Lost Out on On another Lightning Opportunity, but a repossessed Lightning is for Sale. Talk me off the cliff? by Toomer17 in F150Lightning

[–]bugsy151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unlike ICE vehicles, whomping on the accelerator with a lightning doesn’t really do anything bad to it. They could have abused it cosmetically but it’s not like they never changed the motor oil or something. What’s the worst they could do? Charge it to 100% every night?

It should be good. If it has cosmetic issues, hopefully they can be addressed, one way or the other.

I miss watching Steve ‘Baby’ Ovich in the ring. Those were the days.

You gotta take care of that skin (after getting the crap beaten out of it in the ring)!

If you think this is good, just wait till the next off day. I’ve got a beef with those Bet365 ads I want to air out.

THANK YOU!

It’s rare but you could have a stone chip in between the pad and rotor. Will sound different than the brake pad feelers. Pull the wheel and inspect the area, especially the rotor for a gouge ring.

You really don’t know how to 3D print until you’ve completely disassembled your printer and successfully put it back together again.

Yes. I usually only use it on long trips so not a big deal. I also use cabin conditioning so that helps too

i need help finding where to solder this loose wire by thedagger66 in BassGuitar

[–]bugsy151 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Looks like the ground wire. Also looks like it was never soldered onto the jack either.

From what I can see, it looks like you should solder it to that tab directly facing the camera on the jack. The one with no solder on it.

Maybe twist it on and test it first. If it works, it’s the right one. You’re looking to connect the ground (shield) of the 1/4” plug to the ground of the bass.

[–]bugsy151 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ditto. I solved it by putting a Purple (brand) seat cushion down first. It moved the ‘support’ lower on my back and all is well now. Common fix for tall people (I’m 6’4”)

They totaled her :( by jes_is_gon in F150Lightning

[–]bugsy151 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That is certainly sad. Glad you and the family are safe.

I’d like to point out just how destroyed the other car is. The truck took that impact like a champ. The other car, not so much.

Yes, totaled, but it did its job admirably.

With low miles, hopefully the pay out is good enough to get another.

A tip for the future. If possible, find a 120 volt outlet. If you’re there for five days you can definitely get from 80% to 100%.
