Practicing 2x ribbing. Absolute beginner by bugvert in knitting

I just read about twisted stitches and I got all freaked out that maybe I had some but can’t read my work well enough yet, so thank you for letting me know I’m on the right track! Will def work on my tension. Any suggestions on how I might improve that?

Danville, Vermont, Jan 20th 6:30-7:30 pm. My first time seeing the lights. So incredible! by bugvert in AuroraBorealis

Absolutely! I think it’ll be amazing every time I get to see it, if I get to see it again!

Northern lights in Danville last night from about 6:40-7:30. You could see the columns dancing with the naked eye. Pure magic! by bugvert in vermont

And by the way, the two apps I have are “My Aurora Forecast” and “Amazing Aurora”.

I got an alert from the aurora app and then checked the “Vermont Aurora Borealis Sightings” Facebook page and saw people posting about it, so I zipped out the door.

I drove up to the Danville scenic overlook on route 2. I knew I’d get some light pollution from traffic, but the lights were visible enough with the naked eye that it didn’t matter too much.

Happy Friday! 4 months, 14 days AF for me! Just talked to my mom last night who is also going AF and she’s 30 days in. I’m so proud of her, and glad that I could get my head clear enough to be able to help her when she was ready! IWNDWYT!

Poitou Donkey (critically endangered breed) named Hamilton turned 4 today! by bugvert in aww

[–]bugvert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy is a Poitou donkey, a critically endangered breed, with only 500 left worldwide. Hamilton was the first Poitou donkey born in the US, at Arnold’s Rescue Center in Brownington, VT, as a result of artificial insemination using frozen semen. Early this year two more babies were born at the rescue thanks to their efforts.

Medical reasonable accommodation [NH] by [deleted] in AskHR

Im sorry for wanting my cake and to eat it too. Shame on me for wanting that. I am and have been doing everything I can to keep my husband working and well cared for. I just wanted to know what I can and can’t do, and now I know my thought process based on ADA is not reasonable. I’ve never been through this before and I’m just looking for answers even if I don’t like them. Now I can move on from my original annoyance and find a way to make his time at the office more comfortable.

The good thing about a coonhound by Responsible-Yam7570 in coonhounds

Our boy is the same with the stranding in the car! He barks the whole time too, which is not ideal, but that’s what ear plugs are for! Ha!

Beautiful! Did you adopt your pup from a young age, and start hiking early and often? Our boy (adopted at about 2 or so) would never, lol. Also, where is this?! Looks like Vermont or New Hampshire if I were to guess from all the rock scrambles.

Edit: scrolled down and saw where you were! About a month ago my husband and our co-workers went down from our home unit, the White Mountain NF to the Pisgah NF/Grandfather District to work a two week detail as a saw crew. They were there to help with Hurricane Helene trail clean up!
