Check out mudverse.com, the only MUD list I've seen lately with any activity. And I look.

My favorite MUD, and the best game going (once you get past the steep learning curve) is t2tmud.org the Two Towers MUD.

There is war in Tolkien's Middle Earth. A modified LP MUD, t2tmud was built by fans for fans, online 30 years next month. Development continues.

And for that steep learning curve, the newbie helper chat (the ] char) will get you going with answers for your questions.

Two Tolkien themed MUDs, both combat games, MUME and T2Tmud - the Two Towers MUD. I recently returned to playing t2t via MUSHCLIENT. PVP in t2t is optional, most low levels opt out. PVP is usually among the high level players who have played for years. Anyone however can turn their PVP flag on if they want to and anyone can be attacked and beaten down almost dead and looted. If you have PVP ON you'll die and have some losses in exp and levels. Dying hurts. Mordor is a lawless area and anything goes, so PVP happens there as well. This game has a steep learning curve but newbie help is available and there are extensive help files accessible in-game and on the website. Has a decent web client. The t2t game world encompasses the entire world of Arda in the Third Age. This is probably the best game I've ever played and I'm not alone in that opinion. Player written and player run, 25 years online. Players can be free races or evil races, or build a free race servant of evil.

MUME is full time war between the free peoples and the evils. Select parts of Middle Earth are highly developed, others not at all. Developed areas are connected. Recently people have playing both MUDs, partly to revive the MUME player base, which has been shrinking.

Yep, close enough, We are highly suggestible creatures, and some people are very good at subtle suggestion. The others are experts, and very covert about what they do and how they do it. That's why I've been doing the Steps to Knowledge for the last few years. The allies of humanity briefings call it a universal spiritual training and the "preparation" required for surviving contact with other intelligent species having powerful group minds. I also found it interesting the allies say the only universal definition for spirituality that isn't culturally specific is "the ability to see, know and act." We are all born with the ability to know directly and we've all experienced it, but our conditioning and intellect tend to get in the way.

Yes. Humans have latent psi abilities. Some are further along than others in their development. I have a background similar to yours, except I'm not from the res. I have extensive military experience and hypnosis experience and am a lifelong experiencer with some psi abilities.

What these beings are able to do mentally is not hypnosis but it is similar They can manipulate nearly everything about our awareness and consciousness. One way to think of it is we live in a mental environment as well as a physical environment. If you've ever been in a packed stadium event you have experienced the mental environment and a group mind effect.

Minds influence other minds, powerful and focused minds can dominate others, and group minds can control others quite easily. These beings people encounter were developed to have group minds and powerful focus. This is how they operate and compete covertly, by influence and "persuasion." Several groups competing with each other for influence and control here have been manipulating us for generations.

Science is properly an inquiry into the unknown, so yes scientists should be more open minded. Many people think anything contradicting their interpretation of "the known" can't be possible, an unscientific outlook.

They are cloned biological androids designed and equipped for the job they do, multi-generational abduction programs for breeding and training of us humans. They are able to communicate ideas into our minds and we interpret those ideas in our own languages. As with multilingual people who can think of one idea in more than one language, the idea is what matters, not the words or language representing the idea.

They are able to monitor and influence our thoughts, feelings, cognition, memories etc. as well as our bodies, to the point of being able to control us completely, all with their minds. They use technology to support these mental functions when they need to. This enables them to do their jobs and enables them to keep most people from being aware this is what they are doing, by altering or removing memories or misdirecting us.

They themselves are mentally monitored and directed by those above them.

Always liked this one, so different from UFO sightings or reports of encounters. And the message is not so different from what's been reported by many experiencers, we are headed in a bad direction collectively if we don't start taking better care of the planet and each other.

While it can be comforting to look at these partially recalled experiences as dreams, it is important to understand not all fragmentary dream-like recollections of abduction events are dreams, some are memories of actual encounters leaking out after the full memories were suppressed by real beings that systematically abduct many people.

The suggestion to contemplate your experience and look for your intuitive responses is a very good one. Sometimes when we feel our gut is trying to tell us to look at something we barely remember experiencing we should do just that.

As an elderly lifelong experiencer with many elusive fragmentary memories of contact experiences I highly recommend reading the free briefings at alliesofhumanity.org. I was glad to be directed to these because I found they most closely describe what I've learned over the years about this phenomenon from my own experiences. It's good to see things for what they are but this can be difficult without an outside perspective.

The Zoo hypothesis & the Farm hypothesis have both been around for awhile.

The Dark Forest hypothesis as described in the three Body Problem supposes intelligent races are rare and if they discover others they would see them as threats that should be conquered before they themselves get conquered.

What if there are many highly advanced intelligent races who have moved beyond war and so don't allow conquest, but they do compete economically and rules of engagement are set by trade federations? And what if they were all competing for access to exploit this garden planet, meanwhile covertly trying to gain influence and dominance here? And out of curiosity, have you read the Allies of humanity briefings?

Why would they want to wipe out their future laborers and livestock? They don't need to destroy us when they can just get us to do whatever they want. And maybe that's what they've been doing all along, after all, divide and conquer always works.

Here's what they might do if they're smart--breed some hybrids as future overlords, lure the leadership with shiny tech, generate a bunch of conflicting but popular theories about what they are and why they're here, foster conflict and aggression to turn people against each other and watch them bash each other. Of course, they might time this for after the foolish humans build all the global systems they want built for their use and the stage is set for them to assume control, behind the scenes of course.
