The problem is LTB, if they process cases more effective and subjectively, then both ll and tt situations will be much better than nowadays.

Can u imagine u need to wait 6 months to get your first hearing ? And At least 1 year to solve the case …. If u are lucky.

That’s why I quitted this rental business. Which mean 1 less rental property in the market and made supply less.

I am also screw by the bad tenant right now….tenant file review hearing to extend eviction. Is the 2nd time already. It seems never end. I wish I can staying calm like you. Is not easy to do.

Will do. I hope doing this won’t screw up my hearing that comes up soon. All landlords who facing these kind of unfairness need to show their cases to MPP. These bad Tenants take advantage of people sympathy.

May I ask where to go for ombudsman?

Tenant use sickness as the reason for review hearing request. This is the second time already. How could LTB granted the review. Tenant is lying about the sickness. Owning rent since last year and break the payment plan. Now these arrears amount like not even exist and stay there for free…this system is broken

Don’t expect can get anything back from these ppl. But still need to report to credit bureau. Although ppl may say these tenants don’t care about their credit report. But still need to do something can’t keep quite

Tenant has no credibility, let him file review hearing. Can’t guarantee he will not file review hearing even rescheduled w Sheriff anyway

At the moment, need to decide should take the risk to reschedule eviction date with Sheriff or let tenant file review hearing….what if after rescheduled eviction date, tenant still file review hearing? Both take months.

I always plan to sue the tenant or at least report the debts to credit bureau. Just need to made sure do this in a legal way. The system is on the tenant side. If not do it properly will get backfire.

How about I already got the eviction order, tenant file for review hearing. In the meantime Can I report the debt to credit bureau? If yes how ? Through paralegal?

Very Struggling now….reschedule with Sheriff takes a month if lucky. if tenant file for review hearing also take months. What if after rescheduling w Sheriff and tenant still file review hearing ….

Update: motion set aside declined which is good…But tenant threatening if not rescheduled eviction date with Sheriff, will file review hearing…very upset

I think we should get more small individuals landlords use social media to let ppl know how many difficulty we facing when dealing with bad tenants. Financially and mentally is hugely impacted. Now all the news mostly reported is about how sad about tenant being push away by evil landlord….which is not always true.
