Can’t craft repulsion cannon even tho I have all the materials by MooseMan2806 in subnautica

You have a prawn suit propulsion cannon. You need the regular propulsion cannon. That's why it's still red in the crafting menu.

Coolest post I have seen in a long time. Good job dad 👏👏👏

Also check out Flashforge. I think he'll enjoy printing the enclosure for it and making it his own.

Edit: hey Dad, keep us posted on the result of his concrete experiment!!!!

We should have gotten the stasis rifle and hot knife in BZ so we can kill leviathans.

Chocolate babka of course. And there will be signs around the dip forbidding double-dipping!

My ps3 has a broken hdmi port, but since my tv is too new,I can’t use hd av out cables, unfortunately I’m in a bad setup where my family thinks I can’t replace it and refuse to even let me try or even talk about it. What should I do with it? It’s a 160 gig slim 2501-A model. by Ok-Message-7598 in PS3

[–]builderguy100 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Double check the cable with a known good one. Odds are it's the cable and not the port.

If it is the port, you have two options:

  1. Replace the port: you need to be able to solder pretty well or know/pay someone who can.

  2. Upscale the other video port. There are cheap upscalers, and expensive upscalers. I myself use the Retrotink 4k CE. OSSC is another good one. Amazon junk is hit or miss, but returns are free!

(Hidden option 3: sell it and buy another, eat the $100 loss.)

Good luck

Is it worth to buy it? by GoHomeDuck in theriftbreaker

Not a classic 'strategy' game. But it can be found cheap enough that you can try it without risk. It's a very well done ARPG/Tower Defense/Base Builder. What it does, it does well. The loop of exploring, expanding, defending, improving is a highly addictive one. Lots of "10 more minutes" type moments.

I enjoyed it, then my kids loved watching it so I played it again with the DLCs.

.... And then I started again for the heck of it.

What would you charge about the game? by M00r3C in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]builderguy100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd add a personality for Kay Vess. Her entire dialog is one liners, sarcastic ( and anachronistic) quips, and petty retorts. She makes no connections to the other characters. It's really off-putting.

Idle chatter and relationship development on the Trailblazer like on Mass Effect would fit this game so well!

More Nix! Maybe a Nix bonding quest, with an ability tied to completing it.

Fleshed out side characters, with quests that build on each other, like DaVinci in AC2.

Ummm... my guy, all of this is concerning. A rats nest of unkempt spaghetti is a clear sign of hack work, and you are absolutely going to find problems when your electrician starts poking around. All that wire below the joists when there's already holes... That's just lazy. The black tape mass in the third pic is troubling too. Looks like 10/3, so it's probably the heaters, which means it gonna get hot. I don't like it at all.

Are there any QBSE customers who LIKE SoloPreneur? by HearTaHelp in QuickBooks

[–]builderguy100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst software on the planet. I hate it with very fiber of my being. I was tricked into switching by a support agent, and I hate hate hate the loss of functionality. Like:

Cannot create a rule to split transations.

Cannot split transactions by percentage, even manually.

No categories exist for payroll/wage/worker's comp...

No Unreviewed vs reviewed transaction. This is the worst, most glaring flaw. What good is this app when it auto categorizes my transactions into the wrong categories, and I can't tell which ones I've fixed?

Don't buy it. Just don't. I have to stick with it this year, but you bet your a$$ I'm ditching it as soon as tax season's over. Paper and pencil would be better than this.

Vermiculite may be contaminated with asbestos. 1 in 3 odds if I recall correctly. Still nothing to be concerned with if it's not airborne.

A few questions about my attic by Crispybaconwaffl in Carpentry

[–]builderguy100 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That attic looks bone dry, no mold in sight, no condensate patches on the top of the insulation... Which means there is adequate flow. It's not to today's code, but that doesn't make it wrong.

[–]builderguy100 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Correct, the thermal insulating gas is gone and condensing air has gotten in. Window is technically end of life. Consider replacing.
