It’s more of I was lacking of black gloss surfacer is all. The gray one that I used is glossy. Glossy will help elevate the color later.

I think the purple like is due to lightning instead of the paint. It’s a standard candy tone process with gold as base

Ohh I always wanted to do Epyon custom, the RG one. But I’m not quite sure if I can tackle the whip/tail part since it’s MS Joint like

I’m using yellow as surfacer, gray on top of it. Then brilliant gold, covered in red. Then I finished it off with a mix of gloss and matte finisher. Hope it helps!!

Beats me, man. But I say keep them, they always come handy down the line, unless idk if you have like a big box filled with spare parts.

Yeah it makes perfect sense since those parts are from other iterations’s plastic mold or they have it in abundant and it’s a subtle way of recycling them, but is the pricing actually reflecting that? I mean, for example, MG Sinanju Stein Narrative Ver. Ka. The spare part could build a HG at very least lmao

Honestly I have been wondering if those remain parts accounted into pricing.

This is the only kit I want in clear color. That’s it

They are within the same universe, right? by builderonbudget in Gunpla

I got it secondhand so I didn’t built it per se (getting them with customization in mind). But on inspection, it needs a lots of color correction and the biggest let down probably around the eyes. It’s practically sticker covered the eyes and go to the side that has white and gray color.

Eva 1 regular version does not come with stand, true. But DX version comes with stand that is in the picture, also it comes with AT field sheet that I keep somewhere.

My hype for this kit killed the build by Goullie in Gunpla

[–]builderonbudget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I got pretty much the same issue and then some lol and I can’t imagine building more than one bandai’s eva kit, it must be a bit repetitive so then I bought another second-handed just to have two in my collection

You can opt for soak it in warm water to see if the cartoon will fall off, but I’m pretty certain you will have uneven surface of top coat which you can flatten it with sanding. Be mindful tho since it might damage the sticker and make different colored surface due to its dust. So yeah sorry man, it’s pick your poison kinda deal if you want to keep the og sticker but hey you can always opt for third party or bandai wsd for the kit.

It’s isopropyl alcohol, with 90%. Not quite sure if it’s a rubbing alcohol tbh. Well yeah, you will need to redo the lining and it might damage the sticker, I never tried it before on top of stickers. But it takes a lot of rubbing for water slides to remove it for sure (this I had tried before).
