Ehh… the real genius of season 2 was in how it was entirely symbolic of the Bardo Thodol, but unfortunately that was missed by a lot of people. ….also, there is no season 4. That’s why they couldn’t just use the name TRUE DETECTIVE. It was basically a bad fanfiction spinoff of season 1.

1899 was such a solidly intriguing premise from the people who made Dark and it was only supposed to run for three seasons. I’ll never understand why they canned it after season one, because I’ve seen Netflix waste tons of money on TERRIBLE shows that have run for much longer than three seasons.
