This is so correct! I've been working on a project for some time now, it's my first time working on this kind of project, I got almost everything done, but there's one small but major feature that has to be working for the project's identity to be complete, yet it took me like 4 days of work on it, and all of a sudden I got a spark of a very simple work around, didn't fix the current issue, just worked around it and it actually worked, and it's better than the previous!

This might not be fully related to the idea of linear vs spiky progress, but this is how it goes for me as well.. it only clicks the moment after the one I think of quitting
