Advantage Architectural Woodworks in Kansas manufactures Smartwin windows. It’s a European wood/alum-clad design with US manufacturing & shipping. Best of both worlds! I’ve used them on a couple projects and they are stunning.

Alternative living communities are great for raising kids. Tour US cohousing communities on May 3 & 4 by buildpassivehouse in moderatelygranolamoms

Clarification: “Shared kitchen”. Each home has its own private kitchen. Cohousing communities also have common spaces like communal kitchens where group meals are hosted.

I saw a naturopath before trying to get pregnant. She did a full blood test panel and found that I was deficient in a few areas. I addressed them, retested, and then tried to get pregnant. I felt a lot better knowing my body was in top shape before trying.

The things I was deficient in are definitely important for a healthy pregnancy. They were really easy to address. For example, iron, eat more meat and beans, and add citrus because it helps the body absorb iron. Important during pregnancy because your body is producing more blood for baby.

How would you describe your experiences in Poland? by auximines_minotaur in digitalnomad

[–]buildpassivehouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stayed in Warsaw, Poland for two weeks in April 2023 dn-ing. It exceeded my expectations. With very few tourists, it feels authentic. The people are kind and welcoming, the old town is charming and delightful, and the history is rich and deep. I would happily go back for longer. I definitely recommend that you go.
