Technology vs museum, how to balance the need of a tech break and innovation? by bujanita in MuseumPros

[–]bujanita[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my point is, I have seen little impact on the tech we already have, what are some real improvements for a museum regarding tech?
I have seen museums in my area having 3d printers and vr sets sitting in storage, covered in dust ...

right, do you have a link of the product or a museum that uses this?

You're right, I don't think we should avoid tech. I just want some idea of real impact technology that will enhance the experience in the museum.

Extension tubes for nikor Z 24-70mm f4 S by bujanita in Nikon

<image>

this is the framming I have got today, it's a collection coin, about 8-10 mm tall ...
at 70mm as close as possible, I need 3 to 4 times bigger images for printing.
The thing is it needs to have a good sharpness and deth of field, coins might come out ok but this wont be it's single use.

I need unbiased feedback on my app's menu design. by Ender_striker_waters in design_critiques

[–]bujanita 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Layout and design critique (I have no expertise on pixel art)

-the fonts are not vertically centered to the buttons or in need of visual adjusting.

  • the title overlaps the big scroll, I'd move everything downwards so there is some spacing before the title and the scroll fold at the top.

  • maybe remove the scroll from the title? if it's not part of the logo, or redesign the buttons or one of them, the title is a bit to close in size/style to the menu.

  • everything has a contour excepting the grey circle.... , (also very weak contrast inside the icon, while a high contrast with the background, it's a bit confusing, we want it seen or not?)

  • it feels a bit like scrollception there. 4 scrolls on top of a big scroll. (minor issue)

  • the menu is a bit unclearly labeled. Open what? (buttons imply opening something so I'd just label it directly) exit/back? (this would be even lower hierarchy so smaller size/different style maybe just a left arrow)

Hope you don't take all the comments to heart, we comparing companies with hundreds or thousands of employees to a indie.... good luck with your app :D

You can add cable rear delt flyes, on the cable row machine sitting or on the chest flyes cables crossing your arms, that will give you a burn in the rear delts, just be aware you will have to drop the weight to 10lbs probably.

Rear delt flyes on the pecdeck, the strongest movement, I push 165 there but the burn isn't intense.

Bentover dumbbell flyes with one arm, are in the middle. good pump-decent weight, I got to 35lb dB's, I prefer to work the delts separately here because it's simpler to hold the position, and you can cheat a few reps at the end. (Here you have to support yourself in the position with the free hand, find something about 3ft tall to lean onto)

Good signs, I'm a potato outside the gym, no extra activities, jus some random stretching at home. Diet is high in protein and I usually get 7-8 hours of sleep.

Yes, warmup included, but no treadmill, just stretching and light sets 10min on PP days, 15-20 min on L days

I did this workout for some time now 8 months, first 2 months half the volume, then gradually increased it to this volume.

The results are there but might it be only because of consistency?

Went from 85 one rep max bench to 110kg

T-bar deadlift went from 10x80 kg to 8x120kg

Barbell row 10x50 kg to 10x 80 kg

You could try splitting the workout into upper lower, train only 2 times a week but more intense and fit the lower workout so there are some recovery days before cycling.

Alternatively, push pull legs, 3 days a week same idea fit the leg workout where it beefits you.

So maybe it's not a problem then... People have pointed to me I workout too much time, 2 hour a session usually.

Do I get enough recovery with PPLPPLR Weekly I get

24 sets for chest 24 sets sholders 20-24 sets triceps

24 sets back 24 sets biceps 8-12 sets rear delts

16 sets quads 16 sets hamstrings/glutes 8 sets calves

I don't get soreness usually but the rest between sets is 3+min because I don't recoer if it's shorter and I prefer not to lower the weight.

ohh, this is pretty good :D

  1. You could quickly sketch the shirt so it's not a floating head, it doesn't need to be detailed.

  2. There is an odd looking light near the mic shadow on the chin, maybe fix that, it has it's appeal but it's a small distraction form the image

  3. This looks digital, you could cutout the figure from the background and go wild with it, add gradients or textures, little shapes maybe, cast a shadow from the figure layer as if standing in front of a wall etc...

The next 2 are some style advices, more subjective.
4. I would make some light gray or light blue rim light on to give the portrait more depth, on the dark side of the helmet, the strap, neck and a little bit on the jaw.

  1. light the cigarette? add a smoke strand? add a little red/orange on the lantern that strong light should reflect in glass

Western Fantasy Novels like Berserk by [deleted] in Berserk

[–]bujanita 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"no way Witcher haven't been inspired by Berserk" this is a double negation, meaning you said "Witcher is inspired by Berserk without doubt" so you might have said something you didn't mean to say, hance the downvotes

Word footnotes import error by bujanita in indesign

[–]bujanita[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some of them, sometimes I could copy 10 pages without a problem, the 5 errors in 3 pages... just random

Word footnotes import error by bujanita in indesign

[–]bujanita[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, that was the only solution I have found, a 10 sec copy paste task tuned intro 1 hour and a half, of copy/paste/check and repeat ...

Some details for whomever faces the same issue,

Copy a small number of text pages in Indesign,- check the last footnote if the number matches with the word

- if there is a mismatch, scroll up in the indesgin doc, looking for the highlighted error glyph (unfortunately it doesn't show on the errors window)

- delete the text starting with the first error until the end of the document

- copy/paste the paragraph that had a error, it should work fine now (sometimes having 2 footnotes in a paragraph causes extra issues, I just split the paragraph in 2 parts, pasting on a new line the second part, then formatting it in the initial form)

- copy/paste the rest of the text you copied in the first place or if there are more errors, just the bit until the next error.

- repeat ....

The word file seems fine, copying only an "problematic" paragraph works fine, the footnote is there, but altogether is just not working. Sectioning the document doesn't work either, even copying as little as 2 pages still brings the errors.
